Clyde1998WestYorksRoyal If the EFL really want to force the issue, they could give Dai a deadline to prove the club can fulfil its fixtures for the remainder of the season or face expulsion. They have done this before; Bury as a small club got expelled while Bolton and Derby got multiple lives.
It would be a high stakes game of chicken, but would force him to get a move on with the sale.
Assuming the 'exclusivity' period is imminent, I highly doubt they would do anything like this as it could jeopardise the takeover happening. Hopefully we've only got another month of this; six weeks tops. If there was no takeover process happening, then it would make more sense.

Snowflake Royalblythspartan It’s oxf*rd disgusting not paying staff. It’s a shame they can’t sack Ejaria and pay his wages to the people that actually work.
It doesn’t look like exclusivity is even close so this shit show will continue indefinitely.
Yeah, that charlatan is getting something in the region of £60k or more (less tax presumably) this month.
That goes a long way round office staff, club shop, catering, groundsmen, youth coaches etc.

They're fans. Presumably they hope the new owner repays the debt. Fair play though; big effort. SCL is a successful company and they're obvious wealthier than us, but it's not a mega bucks business. Their net profit has been around the £3m for the past couple of years looking at their accounts. This is not small change to them, unlike Dai.

Hound Updated to players wages HAVE been paid
Staff to get majority of wages on Tuesday
Still utter shit but might get away with that points deduction

72 bus The EFL and it's rules are not fit for purpose, none payment of wages should cover the entirety of the clubs wages obligations.

But if Dai is refusing to pay non-playing staff it doesn't matter if Ejaria is taking home 5p or 500k, the staff ain't seeing a penny.

At another ground? That'd be a pcunt's trick
It's fine. Eastleigh will go into the 3rd round and get a chance of an even bigger tie.
And we've no beef with the FA/FA Cup.
I wouldn't do it vs Charlton either as our name's on the trophy.
Save it for a league match

Honest question here - have any of the sadly many clubs that have found themselves in this situation had their fans actively seek to abandon a game? I can't think of a single case but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.
And also, what is the plan for an abandonment, what would it achieve that another form of demo/protest doesn't?

Royal_jimmy The EFL certainly owe us an apology for approving this scumbag's takeover of us when the PL failed him in their directors test.
