Preston’s excellent home form continues, now trail Wigan 1-0. They’re not destined to win at home until the Reading Charity arrive are they?

They are as it turns out

Bottom 3 are screwed. Blackpool and Wigan can say goodbye now, hudders not far behind

Curious why Wigan but not Udders. All 3 on same points and Wigan and Huddersfield have played the same number of games, and GD isn't much different either.

Solely Warnock who I suspect is still capable of pulling something out

Have you seen their remaining fixtures?

They have home games v Coventry and Bristol City next then:

WBA (a)
Norwich (H)
Millwall (a)
Middlesbrough (H)
Watford (a)
Blackburn (H)

So 10th, 7th, 5th, 3rd, 8th and 4th.

If they remain in touch after that run then they stand a chance but need 4pts from next 2 home games I reckon.

I don't see any of the current bottom 4 (let alone bottom 3) getting to 44 points this season.

You mentioned Coventry and Bristol City as if they aren't such difficult fixtures but these are two teams that are in quite good form at the moment.

We have a daunting run-in so I am grateful for the comfy cushion

We still have to play all of the top 6. Four of our remaining seven home games are against top 6 sides. And we have Coventry and Bristol City away who, as SCR says, are on form.

OTOH there is a good chance Burnley will be home and hosed by the time we play them. And Wigan and Huddersfield could well be down by the time we play them.

Yep, those games are tough too but are the ones you would target in the next 8 as a potential Huddersfield win.

We have beaten Coventry, Bristol, Blackburn, Millwall, Boro and drew at Luton. Naturally we are going to lose some of those games but we should take some heart from having already got positive results against them.

Not to mention we are strong at home and, whilst there are difficult games in there, I'd back us against anyone at home. The only home games I'm expecting a defeat is Sheff United and Burnley and even the former haven't been in that good form recently either so no reason why we can't turn them over.

Away games I'm not expecting much from, but the games where I think we can get something from is Preston, Bristol City and possibly Huddersfield on the last day.

Just noticed that, after a decent run of form previously, Hull have just hit a bit of a sticky patch. They looked good going under Rosenior and made some astute signings in January and thought they may have been an outsider for the play offs, seems like that's fading.

Their situation looks a lot better than it did pre-World Cup though.

Case of they were looking like a dark horse making a late run, then people started paying attention and they got spooked.

Swansea look pretty poor. Rotherham could get a win.

Rotherham actually May finally have enough about them to stay up this year

Fair chance Martin will leave Swansea soon I reckon - maybe end of season. Doesn’t sound like it’s going too well down there

A draw suits us; keeps Swansea below us.
