When we lose to Blackburn, Hull becomes a must win.

If you offered me two points from the two games right now I'd take them.

Yeah Hull is massive.

Two points wouldn't be bad, can't see us not losing both.

To be honest, I'd rather lose 6-0 tomorrow and win 1-0 in a similarly bizarre fashion on Saturday as the reverse fixture.

Sutekh
Royals and Racers Blackpool 1 up in 3 mins

Amazing, some struggling sides don’t mess about! But then they’re probably not playing 5 or 6 defenders and a defensive midfield.

For the record a Blackpool win means Reading will be 3 points above the relegation places after a 6 point deduction.

Not when we win tomorrow...............

Apart from Blackpool, results have been pretty good so far, silver lining to the Blackpool result is it keeps QPR sweating.

Would have much preferred QPR winning though...

Yep, QPR will be four points ahead of us after our deduction.

QPR are absolute filth

Shame they won on the weekend. It’ll certainly do Blackpools confidence a world of good

Birmingham probably have enough of a gap to be ok, but they're awful at the moment. QPR still on the slide, and Cardiff must be starting to get really twitchy after that result tonight. Rotherham will be fine I think

And what will the management of AFC Charity do on Good Friday when Brum arrive in town?

1. Play a positive attacking team that takes the game to the opposition
2. Play 5/6 defenders and a defensive minded midfield and get frustrated
3. Blame the referee
4. Say that ffp restrictions mean the club can’t compete with the likes of Birmingham and it’s all down to fine margin
5. Resign

Blackpool was a freak result brought on by an early penalty and QPR mentally collapsing as they were losing. Again. Including the penalty Blackpool scored with their first 3 efforts and 6 of 8 shots on goal went in.

In isolation it is absolutely nothing to worry about, they were going to win a game eventually - they have Coventry and a derby v Preston up next which will be much tougher than playing the other hooped shitshow that they faced last night.

And despite that, they remain 9 (or poss 3) points behind us with a game in hand - as you saw last night, strange results happen at this stage - so whilst I expect nothing bar a comprehensive defeat tonight, if we do somehow find a way to win then that result (again in isolation) will have no impact on our position.

Yeah hopefully Blackpool will revert to type over the next couple of games, although it does go without saying we need to start picking up points and wins again pretty quickly.

It will probably come down to the last game or two for us again where we play Wigan and then Huddersfield, hopefully we can avoid the last day again.

Probably not what we wanted but I did have a little chuckle at QPR's result last night.

Sounds like Rob Dickie is coming in for heavy criticism as well.

You are probably right that it was a freak result (which greatly helped their goal difference) however they have sussed that if you have shots on target you might score goals whereas if you continue to have 0 shots on target you can't win games.

I am stating the bleedin' obvious but we really have to do something about creating chances and quickly.

They had 8 shots on goal, we normally manage one and a couple of headers over the bar .

I watched the Wigan game and Coventry’s decision making in the final third stopped them winning comfortably. Maybe could say the same about the game against them at the SCL.

Wigan however at least gave it a go and got a fortunate equaliser. I doubt we would have come back under the same circumstances.

I think Blackpool will see Coventry as decent but beatable and unfortunately I see them the same way.
