All of a sudden our run in looks horrendous.

Excluding ourselves, we now have to play

The top three sides AWAY

5 of the top 6 sides (4 away, 1 home)

7 of the top 10 sides in the table.

and just ONE "lowly" side (who scored 7 away from home last night)

01 38 +35 75 Southampton AWAY
02 38 +20 70 Reading
03 37 +21 68 West Ham AWAY
04 38 +08 61 Brighton AWAY
05 37 +03 60 Middlesbrough
06 37 +19 59 Birmingham AWAY
07 37 +12 59 Blackpool Home
08 37 +07 58 Cardiff
09 37 +07 58 Hull
10 38 +01 54 Leeds Home
11 37 +05 53 Palace Home
12 38 -9 52 Derby
13 36 +07 51 Leicester
14 38 -10 51 Watford
15 36 +04 49 Burnley
16 36 -06 48 Ipswich
17 37 -02 44 Peterborough
18 38 -16 43 Barnsley
19 38 -09 40 Millwall
20 37 -18 38 Forest Home

Same here; West Ham have been banking on their game in hand giving them the edge - its away at Peterboro; the way the 2 teams played last night I'd say Peterboro were favorites to win that.

As for our run in, bring it on.

I wouldn't expect you to understand, Mags.

19 points from their last 7 games = 2.71 ppg Saints are now on fire whereas ten games ago they looked poor
13 points from their last 7 games = 1.86 ppg Forest looked to have turned the corner.
13 points from their last 7 games = 1.86 ppg Palace and undefeated in ten games, so will be very hard to beat
12 points from their last 7 games = 1.71 ppg Brighton On a roll, into 4th. Home form 11-5-3 32-16

Birmingham poor away but their home form is 11-7-1 29-10

We need to hope that West Ham DON'T win away and continue their home draw form

Blackpool and Leeds are all over the place so God knows how those games will go.

And we have 16 points from our last 7 games! Which puts us second to southampton.

...and why does this cnut insist on typing 'mate' as 'm8'?
It's like some throw-back to when mobile phones were first invented.
Surely it can't be too difficult or tedious to spell a four letter word correctly...can it??

Hang on a minute...this is HNA? after all!

This, if the defeat had come half through the run and we managed the same results no one would bat an eyelid.

Its how we react now, my only concern is Roberts fitness.

Big Deal we manage 5 wins a draw and a defeat against 6 sides in the bottom half of the table
and four of those in the bottom 6!!!!

05 Middlesbrough
13 Leicester
17 Peterborough
18 Barnsley
19 Millwall
23 Doncaster
24 Portsmouth

Average position 17th

Now we have to play 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11,

average position 6th

and 20th

Southampton, West Ham, Brighton, Blackpool , Birmingham
Leeds, Palace, Forest

Maybe there is a difference?

Wow. Taking a single set of results as a cause for panic really is the work of a master of statistics. Our football team lost. Hopefully we'll win the next one. Exciting this, isn't it?

Phew! Relieved we're playing the top teams - with Reading it's ALWAYS been the bottom sides we struggle against.

Plus we can take points off our rivals.

Honestly, I have always thought our run in looked pretty bad, don't think too much has changed, expect that when they were released I thought NF would be challenging, so on that basis, if anything has changed, it is only for the good. Yes they scored 7 at Elland Road last night but that means bugger all to be honest, if they score 7 in their next 3 games I will be more worried.

West Ham may be in poor form but a slip up still lets them right back in as clear favourites for 2nd. It's good we have tough games, it makes complacency harder and more likely we'll work at it to get the results. Thanks to Peterborough complacency should have been kicked into touch. The main worry is getting too nervous about needing to get the results, trying to force it rather than just relaxing and playing our game with confidence, and choking.

I hope that last season (amongst others) has taught us the lesson to avoid choking.

Damn right Mags. Of course this will go right over your head, but we NEED to HOPE West Ham DRAW or LOSE and that they don't WIN.
