Royalwaster From his wiki page: 'Afobe made a goalscoring return for the Reserves in a 5-0 win against Norwich Reserves on February 21st, entering the field as a first half substitute. Afobe also missed a penalty in the match'.

Well he'll fit right in then won't he?

Simon's Church Big risk IMO he's very inexperienced and might not know all the rules yet or what he's supposed to do in front of goal.
Could cause a lot of unrest in the squad as well if he starts getting picked ahead of our top scorer Church. Think this is the end of our automatic hopes.

Simon Church may KNOW what he is meant to do in front of goal, but he's not really very good at doing it

I'm excited that this loan signing might or might not help our promotion hopes.

Good little bit of footage of him

So, lots of passes to the opposition and a corner that didn't get beyond the first defender. Definitely got the Reading DNA then.

Probably been commented on elsewhere but he came across as a really nice lad in his interview on BBCRB.

robbieroyal I'm a bit excited by this. I cant see McD putting him straight in the side but i'd bloody love it if he did.
.

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't go straight in, Arsenal would not loan him to us without some sort of assurance that he'd play if fit. Given their reputation they are very picky about where their loanees go.

With Roberts out I can almost see him starting in preference to Church, but more likely he'll be a sub.

I'd be very confident he will replace Church or ALF on the bench as an absolute minimum. Will be interesting if he starts though!
