Well in reality what I was saying is that we can't just switch to another player UNLESS we have another one lined up after same level of research... (but I can see why you picked up on that, so fair play).

Who needs to spend £14m on Sigurdsson when we can get Hope Akpan for £300k?

Just sayin' like.

He didn't look out of place at all today.[/quote]

Very composed - looks as if he has always been playing at this level.

Another really astute buy.

Bump.

So, still a resounding success?

Especially Kelly. He's brilliant. Maybe we could have signed him at the start of the season, though.

Gave it a B- a month ago, probably still the same mark.

Kelly and Akpan both good.

Blackman meh

Carrico.... sadly a laughable signing at the moment. 45 minutes in 3 months?... gr8 buy so far

Yes very good lets give McD and Hammond a very big pat on the back for giving us such worthy tools One that could not get a game in the prem and lower league gems that have turned our season around, the only club I know where some fans think these are good signings, I work with all sorts of football fans that have seen bad times but I can see why they love playing reading what a joke we are in the football world of fans, but then again I tell them this is the reading way

Dee-saasster (typed in dialect) is a mining village in Yorkshire. Apparently their football team is rather good.

If you think about it Blackman was a lot of money for a league one player unproven at a higher level. He is yet to make any impact whatsoever but most probably one who will be good in a year or two (hopefully)

I really can't see where all this praise for Akpan comes from loose passing, not the best tackler, not great in the air and finally ball watches, hopefully be proven wrong.

Not bad transfer window in my eyes. Kelly looks like exactly what's been needed in the defense however is the only immediate fix we brought in which is the problem, akpan is adjusting surprisingly well however still aways to go yet, given time will be great for us, Carrico was an absolute steal though won't really feature this season, guys got quality and a little flair which our middle of the park needs, next season will be very important. Blackman was an awful signing in my eyes, especially at over as million, can put away a penalty from what I've seen and that's about it, not joking when I say we'd be better off playing church than him. All in all 3/4 were good players and will help us out however we did need 1 or 2 quick fix players for certain positions which we didn't get, so yeah not bad but could have been a bit better.
