Id rather see a signing like this than a young unproven loan signing especially when we have our own young talent

So did Baird steady the ship? How did he fare alongside Guthrie?

I thought he looked quality, but not quite up to full speed.

I don't have really much to say about how he looked today.

But then again I wasn't at the match.

I have this thing called the internet that means I can watch games without being present. It's fab. You should try it.

Gordons Cumming Why only until January?

maybe be have eyes on new targets come the next window , mind you if he does a good job we will probably give him an extension

If he does well enough I can see us making the move permanent in January. He doesn't seem to be in Fulham's plans judging by the 19 league games each of the last two seasons. Three months is a long time in terms of making the assessment on acquiring him, but if Saturday was any indication he will be a great addition, give our midfield more teeth and already showed he can make a pass.

Of course he's not in Fulhams plans, that's why he left them over the summer.

The match was streamed live on a number of websites yesterday. I also watched the whole match online - a perfect feed for once too.

And I thought Baird was very good. Great low risk signing and especially important now we have lost Karacan.
