9 pages already. Agony and 80 more pages ahead as the club make you wait a week for news of this transfer.

Didn't Adkins spend some time in Germany before he got the job here?

If Reading's scouts have been to over 900 games, then why haven't we brought some unknown euro wonderkid yet? Signing Drenthe, Bridge and Pearce doesn't prove they've spent any time in Europe whatsoever, let alone 900+ games.

Three quality players for no transfer fee, and you're moaning because you want an unknown foreigner to come in?

Knowing about Drenthe's contract situation does though

Yes please.

If signing Drenthe is the only product of our extensive scouting system in Europe (which doesn't include russia usually), then they may as well have employed me to do it at home. I knew that he was in a russian team by playing football manager.

I'm not sure going to brighton counts as a trip to europe. (But maybe anton did it on the cheap, sent all his scouts to the football league and found out his favourite free players on football manager).

Quality players have become available to us, and we have signed them. I can't believe you're complaining. We're clearly looking at other players in Europe, as today's gossip seems to have revealed, however I'm sure the club are very sorry that you aren't satisfied with the number of signings from the rest of Europe. By all means, make a formal complaint.

There are 2 German born American internationals at Hoffenheim (their respective fathers were both US servicemen stationed there). The aforementioned Danny Williams and Fabian Johnson a left back who is actually featuring more for the US Men's National Team than Williams. If it is one of their American "internationals" it would make more sense it would be Williams seeing we just signed Bridge to play left back. But then again Johnson is like Kelly in the sense that he can, and has played, both left and right back. The thing that might make Johnson an attractive target for us is that versatility to go along with his paciness to slot in at right back. He has been very solid for our national team. Williams is actually not part of the squad for the World Cup qualifiers with Klinsmann's defensive midfielder of choice being Schalke's Jermaine Jones.

Isn't that what Football Manager is for

It even told me he was known as "Ricky"

TBM, any news on Palace's interest? I'm getting nervous. This is taking far too long.

Rollerbob Weis would make an interesting signing.. Agreed - I too am all for strengthening all positions - if we can do it, why not!!

for being 27 years old he sure hasnt played much as he only has 199 appearances. honestly i dont know much about him is he decent? (i assume he must be good playing for a top tier german side who is generally midtable).
