LoyalRoyal22 I'm his biggest fan but poor choice for captain. Not a leader & not vocal. Has to be Pearce.

Jobi wasn't particularly vocal and he took us up.

He was plenty vocal when he played at centre-back.

That's not actually too horrendus. With Obita and Gunter it might work. Although I think Gunter needs more help than that. It's very workmanlike in midfield as well. Need some more creativity and goals in there instead of one of Williams, Guthrie or Karacan.

This looks really good.

I've not been a fan of 3-5-2, but Chile used it to good effect at the World Cup and we've definitely got the players for it.

I did a quick Google to see when we last played it and found this piece on TTE: http://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/201 ... ngs-future
It's quite long and seems to be assuming we'll lose Guthrie and McCleary, but a worthwhile read.

Embarrassing dive yesterday.

mostly frustrated that diving appeared to be his primary objective rather than trying to get a cross in when in the opposition box, but I do wonder if the club ot FA will take any action against him.

No one wants to see diving in the game, and criticising an opponent for it is one thing, but happily allowing your own players to comically throw themselves to the ground shows you condone it and it does nothing to discourage anyone from trying it again.

Dreadful dive but it pretty much summed up Gunter, he makes these runs but has no idea what to do when he is in and around either box.

Well aside from a couple of very good crosses and shots at goal

I remember a couple of floaty crosses that didn't give the player on the end much of a chance to do anything with it.

Look, he played far better yesterday than he has for the whole of this season and linked up with McCleary well but his problem is that when he does get in good positions he doesn't seem to be able to think about what he's doing. I commend the athleticism and the fact he gets there but he's just so disappointing when he does get in to good areas.

Embarrassing dive but plenty of cut backs / crosses from him too. Far better defensively, though i don't think Watford played to his weaknesses.

Thought that was his best game for months
Far more comfortable oin the right, positional play much better with a lot of good covering and tackling. Overlaps were once again in evidence - as we all knew he links up with McCleary really well and it seems to give him the confidence he needs
And I thought (and was right in line) two good crosses at least.
Well played Chris and well done SC for switching him back to the right

Hopefully Gunter will now stop cutting back inside and passing square, slowing down our pace and tempo. He looked better yesterday when he went forward with some real purpose and desire

I've no problem with him doing that if it goes to Norward / Williams and is then used effectively.

I'm much more against his poorly executed hopeful punts upfield. Relatively few of which were on display thankfully.

seems to be a lot of glossing over of the dive going on here
