RoyalBlue Well either they are an incredible bunch of weak babies or McDermott was a bully!

What a load of old rollocks that claim is. Ability to kick a football does not necessarily mean someone has footballing ability. Some of our players have always been technically weak.

Exactly. Someone please tell me from the list of players I gave on this thread, which top half championship sides would be clamouring for their signatures? Not many. Jobi & Bridge possibly but no one else.

MK Dons have had 15 shots at Wigan's goal and scored 3 goals.

Brighton's defence can't be that much better than Wigan's.

Royalwaster The issues isn't not being able to pass but to receive a ball, control it immediately and see the pass before the defender sees it/closes it down; our players lack the technique to do it - so other teams close us down quickly and win the ball easily .... if you close down a very skillful player too quickly he'll turn you and be past you before you notice it; one of the few who can do this in our team is Royston ... you'll see him receive a ball and control it in the direction he wants it to go and thereby get past his marker ... but most of the others lack this skill.

No they don't, our players are decent enough. But all of their footballing ability seems to be being bullied/coached out of them.

Or maybe as a good manager (and a decent honest bloke) McDermott motivated them?

Our players are decent enough. Always hear "good bunch of lads" 95% are honest players. I'm all for Adkins style of play but from what I've seen since he arrived I can't help thinking that Adkins is clueless

So you honestly think that this group of players, bearing in mind the teams most have come from (and their combined experience), are the worst squad in the whole of a very average division based on footballing ability? Just utter, utter bullocks. The ONLY people responsible for this are the management.

Seems weird to buy into an idea that the manager is the great one, he just needs 11 new players. That's not management

Sounds like another totally uninspiring dreary performance, in about 85 minutes we've managed 1 header over the bar and perhaps 1 on target attempt that posed no real threat. Real struggle to recall anything even remotely interesting from Reading.

Least we know that based on the last two games we only need to turn up for the last five/ten minutes of games.

Taylor spaffs our best chance from 6 yards. oxf*rd up moments like that can be the difference between making it and not.
