he didn't play at Goodison then?

He was extremely poor in the first half against Everton and Sonko had to cover for him several times. He had an improved second half there, but looked vulnerable. Today, however, he was superb.

Works both ways - remember him covering for Sonko a couple of times too.

I most certainly remember him having a touchy feely first half as he got into the game, and Sonko having to cover for him for him on at least two occasions being out of position.

So when the team the cup game at Birmingham is announced and no doubt will include De La Cruz, Bikey, Long, etc can we stop reffering to them as the reserves/second team. These guys are now all proven first team players.

We have a squad of first team players, its just that due to the crazy rule of only allowing eleven players on the pitch at one time for our team not all of them get to play every week. When they do, like De La Cruz today, they prove their ability therefore they are not a second team player.

only two?????

what the funk do you expect?

Like Shane Long, they have to work out what goes on at 60mph in the Premier...............it takes a while.

DLC has proven today, that a flow of games brings out the best.

I believe he got a flow of games at Villa as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased that he put in a brilliant performance today, but I'd rather wait and see if he can produce four or five good performances in a row before changing my opinion on him.

and his chances of that may remain pretty remote.

However, the guy played RB and LB and covered pretty amicably.......what more do you want?

I'm not disputing he had a decent game today, I'd just like to same him have a reasonable game most games. That is what I and most fans would want I'dve thought.

Nezhen So which games of DLC's were unreasonable then !?

Every one apart from Burnley, Everton and Sheffield Utd.

It's obviously a recent turn around. Probably related to his run of games.

It's far easier to list the games he played well in than the games he played badly

So you think he's only had one good game then?

Because he's had 7 appearances in a Reading shirt.

no

I know that he's had two good games

and that he has had a run of playing three games on the bounce

the result?
