Jeffers217 Just get out you cheque book and sign Matty Upson

For your information, we are not Arsenal FC. I can give you directions to Ashburton Grove, if you are lost.

Are you saying Arsenal would sign an Englishman?

No (well yes that too), but he also thinks that Jeff's username refers to Francis Jeffers, who left Arsenal years ago and has since played for three clubs. Yet this still leads him to the conclusion that the poster must be an Arsenal fan because of his mental disorder relating to his obsession for hating Arsenal.

Hmmmm, as you aren't on here very often, I'll tell you why. That poster was going on about how good Arsenal were when we were playing crap (remember that season before last season?) and I told him to piss off to Arsenal. And I have been doing so everytime this poster is negative about Reading.

Well they were playing well and we weren't doing very well. :? I still seem to recall that you told him to piss off to Arsenal at the time because of the username Jeffers and I'dve thought you could have come up with something more original after two years.

Yes, he was wanting us to be like Arsenal. He made some comment on their togetherness.

I think every single person on this board apart from yourself would like us to play like Arsenal, no offence.

I'd rather we played our own brand of style. I don't want us to be like anyone, just ourselves.

Indications from the Cork City forum that this looks likely to be wrapped up by the weekend.

Any of our Irish contingent able to shed a bit more light?

My cork contact says that its a done deal and that Bennett will be with us either on Friday or Monday for a club record (for them) £300,000 fee.

Amazing really how the transfer fee for Bennett seems like a drop in the ocean now for a squad player, whereas four or five years ago this would be a large investment for the club and you would expect the player to slot straight into the first XI

On the topic of centre backs and squad players. It was good to see Aaron brown continue his come back from injury last night. Further boosting our numbers at the back.

Alex Pearce
Peter mate - Loan
Andre Bikey - Loan
Ivar Ingimarsson
Ibrahima Sonko
Alan Bennett ???
Sam Sodje
Curtis Osano
Curtis Ujah (centre back?)

Anyone missed?

The main problem is that out of all of them, only Bikey and Sodje have played in the Prem this season when required due to injuries. I can't see that Pearce, Osano or Ujah are anywhere near Championship level let alone Prem.
