Focherjollyjiminy Howard - Premier League experience
Would you care to elaborate on who he played for in the Premier league please
Unless my memory has failed spectacularly, he was there with Sheff United

Barry the bird boggler After the stuffing we'll get at Sheffield United next week (where no doubt Harps will score the winner) our season will really begin at home to Barnsley on 30th January.

Thaumagurist* Indeed, soccerbase says he played for Barnsley when Sheffield United last was in the Premiership.

jollyjiminy However... he's not done badly: in the Championship team of the year a couple of seasons ago, England U20, called up for Scotland but deemed ineligible to play. Not a bad profile at all.

so, in easy English, he played for Sheff Utd when they were in the championship.

granted, although i think its safe to say that he has not showed that form since signing for Reading, i like him, he looks technically good, but his decision making has been nothing short of woeful. I put it down to a lack of confidence not lack of ability.

Only one Trevor Morley If we could win two games on the bounce (not managed this season) or win a game by more than one clear goal (only managed at Barnsley) then I reckon that will kickstart a recovery....
For all the 'we've been unlucky' we should be taking a few teams apart with the squad we have - even Plymouth have managed that at least once this season - remind me who that was against again!)

Jeffers217 focher i'm gobsmacked you believe this squad is good enough to challenge for promotion! Who out of our striker's is any decent? Thor was the only one who looked good enough at the wkend. Elsewhere our senior pros are woeful. It's only Gylfi, Jem. Mills and MacEnough who I think are genuinely good players

I'm sick of people blaming a weak squad.
Our squad should easily be up near the promotion places. The fact we haven't is piss poor management

Focher i hope so, because however good a manager McDermott might be, if he can't raise the players confidence in the next 5-7 games, we are going down. If that happens, the finger must be pointed in my view at Rodgers and McDermott, our squad is comfortably good enough on paper to be challenging for promotion, and its their responsibility to get the best out the players. I don't buy the blame Madejski argument, yes we have lost our prized assets, but we have spent in excess of £3m on new players, we still have a 'good' squad, or should i say adequate squad.
