Terminal Boardom That has been one of my biggest beefs with the modern game. The players have become out of touch with reality. Wages in the region of £10,000, £15,000 and £20,000 per week for ordinary footballers creates a totally false economy. The players are in a coccooned and sanitised world of their own. Years back, it may not have been uncommon seeing the likes of Trevor Senior with his missus doing the shopping in Savacentre or Kevin Bremner out in the town centre during the week with his wife and children. It is nigh on impossible to identify or associate oneself with footballers these days. They are no longer "normal people".

On the contrary, I saw Dean Morgan shopping in Asda, Lower Earley when he still played for us.

Can't get much more down to earth than that ...

And I often saw James Harper losing his girlfriend in Tescos.

Have seen many images of this, but not this side view, cracking shot.

Kingsley getting mounted after Murty's pen.

For me, this is my photo of choice though. Where the biggest adventure in Reading's history begun.

Surprised nobody posted this. I work in the North West, and had a management meeting presentation on the Monday morning after the game - two of the guys were massive massive Liverpool fans, so this was obviously the opening page pic!!!

All fab images though!
