Sun Tzu
Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Don't mean it as a bad thing Sun, we do still have some dead wood in the squad and it needs to be moved on, if not for money, then moral.

Also I imagine at the start of the summer his agent would have thought that we were desperate for him and that he'd be able to get a load of money out of us, even more so when he got his release.

I've said before, I don't think signing Zurab will change McD's 1st choice back 4. Maybe we could get a young loanee, someone like Caulker from Spurs, he was really good for Yeovill last and we would seen a lot of because of McCarthy. I know Hammond and Dolan watched Yeovil a number of times last season.

You are right, this is McD's chance to make his mark on the squad. He does need to ensure anyone who he doesn't see having a role is shifted and Cisse does look like he'll be out in the cold.
Your point about loanees is a good one, and I would think we'd be in a good position to get a decent player that way. perhaps they'll get Zurab if they can;t get the next England number 5 !!!

We already have him - Mills.

Now Cisse seems to be off, with we step up our chase of Zurab?

Bikey could be due for a move to the PL with Wigan or West Ham apparently.

I'm guessing that the fee we got for Bikey was decent enough to negate a sell-on clause but you never know, might be a few quid extra in the coffers?

So it's now just the wages to work out...surely, this now must be worth a serious pursuit...before someone else snaps him up...

His agent will almost certainly require that what would have been a transfer fee is now given to him as a signing-on fee.

The article also states that Rovers will pay off the remainder of his contract...still think it's worth a go...

Wasn't the problem more that Rovers wanted a transfer fee?

If he gets a payoff from them, he might be willing to come on lower wages. If Blackburn are now so keen to get rid I'm sure we could do something...

His greedy bastard agent will almost certainly require that what would have been a transfer fee is now split between himself and the player.

Some minor corrections, but important ones I feel.
