Haven't you read the new hobnob tone of voice guidelines?

Why do we have to wait for a press release?. are we on the stock market,? why not tell the paying fans first for once ? More question and still no answers.

The excuse would be something about other players prices suddenly shooting up or that John Madejski doesn't want you to have hurt feelings because he loves every one of us like Jesus or whatever.

If the Arabs take over will there be a fatwa declared on players who aren't performing?

Will be quite useful I reckon.

Much as I knock "the club" I have to agree that the club have every right to tell us when they feel it is wise to do so. I certainly don't want to know anything any sooner if it jeopardises things in any way.

Doesn't get them off the hook for previous lies etc of course.

After being swept away by TSI when they came in, I honestly don't care when we hear anything official, or what they tell us at the presser. It will be the usual optimistic ambitious template stuff. Whether they run the club carefully or not is a different matter, and we wont ever know until it's too late - we just have to hope they have our best interests at heart. I'm neither going to be excited or concerned, just hopeful they take us forward and not backwards.

If we were a listed company then we would report any talks offers or deals to the Stock Exchange, it certainly wouldn;t be done by press release.

And how would you suggest they tell the fans ? Probably by releasing the news on all possible media outlets (OS, local radio, TV, press). Which would be done by a press release !

What we think or think we have a right to know are pretty much irrelevant, it's a private sale between 3 private parties and when it's done and dusted we'll know. Until then it's a waste of time getting uptight, may as well find something more interesting to do than let the WUM on here lead you down false trails.

If it means that more youngsters that have progressed through the ranks get a chance then I would have no complaints. SJM will do what is right for him and for the club so no need to panic. I would like to know though why Southampton have an incredible production line when it comes to creating really good young players while we tend to struggle a bit in that area.
