Hoop Blah Accurate stats presented in a way as to mislead through misrepresentation perhaps.
The most refreshing change there is that they're apparently accurate!

Today you have a post count of 22 and it's not even 3 o'clock yet.
TBH all that table proves is how misleading stats can be.
No, they are ACCURATE stats. But then you don't understand salience and relevance.

Snowball Because it shows that people with footballing brains rate Shane Long
and this thread is the opposite

Does that suggest that Steve Coppell, who barely gave him a run in the team, is a complete idiot?

It probably suggests that there are 10-15 managers in England who don't rate him highly enough to
buy him from a club who have shown they're willing to sell anyone who attracts a half decent fee.

Hoop Blah Did it take you a whole week to press submit on that one Snowball?
Who'd have thought that Irish would do Mick McCarthy a favour by only playing his star forward for 45 minutes of a friendly...
Nobody is doubting that Long has done a decent job for the Irish team so not really sure why you keep bringing it up.

When has RFC said it's willing to sell Long or wants him to go?
I guess that must be every time they've extended his contract, yes?

Jeeezzz, if you want to play that game....where have I said they did?
We extended Sigurdsson, Hunt and Doyle's contracts shortly before selling them so what does Long's extension really mean for his long term future?

Hoop Blah There's a big difference between wanting to get rid of a player and openly saying it.
Did the club ever say they wanted to get rid of Doyle, Hunt, Kitson, Sigurdsson, Mateovsky, Cisse, Shorey etc etc.
I've no doubt in my mind that if a decent offer came in for Long at any point in the last 18 months the club would've let him go. That doesn't mean they actively wanted him out, or that they came out and said so as that's not how it works.

Or the club's valuation might be very high, higher than other clubs want to pay...

The club's and the player's valuation, agreed jointly between them.
