Man Friday we were four up against arsenal and couldn't defend our lead, how do you think we will ever defend a 1 goal lead?

By actually defending instead of still playing the same way. Shut up shop and defend in numbers. Exactly the way Chelsea won the CL last season or how Norwich beat Utd a few weeks back

5-4-1 would have done it

ManchesterRoyals His Subs are oxf*rd awful

^^^ This

Once again the subs completely killed everything good about our attacking play.

Funny, as he was brilliant with his subs last year

Disagree - our attacking play was dead long before he made the changes....the changes just did nothing to revive it....

If the club want to try and stay up, then Brian has to go. If they are happy to accept relegation and waste all our hard work in getting to the Prem, then keep him.

No manager would have got more out of that group of players today. For fcuking sake we gave one of the best teams in the world a very close run. Back the boys, back the manager. Today was a great performance!!

I dont think for a second that anyone else stands a chance of keeping us up either. So i'd rather Brian stayed.

How many clubs in relegation have sacked the manager and stayed up??

I sit within pissing distance of BM and he couldn't fail to notice what we thought of his Pog for Roberts substitution. Pogs confidence is obviously shot to shit but that wasn't the time to make that change. Totally clueless.

Get real and have some perspective. We lost by one goal, to a penalty that shouldn't have been scored by a 25 million pound striker and a offside goal scored by a 20 million pound striker. We had a 275k striker and a 34 year old cart horse up front. GET A GRIP

Wrong.
The most blatant of penalties.
Not offside
Van Persie's shot was way over the line.
All of this shows the minor (always better to be there) advantage of watching on TV.
Oh and Jobi dived for the first foul by Raphael.

Go to the game? No, course not, sitting in your council house watching it on a robbed Laptop and dodgy Arabic web feed.

Not sure what argument you're trying to make. Swapping Roberts for Pog was my issue, not comparing Alf or Roberts to Van Persie. Pog had 1/4 of the game, bar a minute or 2, and he was simply woeful today. Do you know what Woeful means? Go look it up.

Royal Rother Ermm, we've only played 3 of them.

We've only played three of Wigan, Villa, Norwich, QPR, Saints, Stoke and Sunderland? I think you may have a few days missing.

Although looking at the table atm you could argue that Newcastle are more our peers than Stoke I guess, but I hadn't checked it for a week or so at the time.

Better use and timing of subs, plus being prepared to change tactics would have got a better performance out of that group of players today.

Van Persie's shot was over the line but play should have already been stopped as Evans (think it was him) dragged Shorey down so that he could get his initial header in.
