Uke Best to start reading the history or Bury FC so we can avoid the issues they had after being expelled…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bury_F.C. ... sion:_2019

As it looks more and more like it’s going to be our fate

May I be the first to suggest we put the leaders of HNA, SBWD, TE and STAR in a cage to fight to the death until DD emerges to lead us united behind one vision into sunlit uplands.

Christ, I’m not sure so many adult virgins would have ever been in one place if all that lot met up at the same time.

Also, who would the ‘leaders of HNA?’ be?

Depends if there’s an online poll…

Brogue When is the next tax bill?

I believe it's on the 22nd of each month.

Being heavily suggested on Twitter that Savage has a clause on his deal that sees him get a payrise after 15 league starts.

He has 14.

Presuming that any monies received from player sales this window will go into the required backup deposit account to cover player wages. If Dai fails to do that then surely the FL will have no alternative but to charge him again and then bar him from being an owner to thus force the sale.

Does that solution require the approval from the independent commission for that to happen?

Coincidentally, if we are cost-cutting and selling our players at cut price to help keep the club going for x amount of time, aren't we basically operating like a club in administration anyway?

Well yes, but administration typically results in finding a buyer too. The problem with asset stripping to cover losses is that eventually you run out of assets, so it's definitely not sustainable.

Imagine you are Dai, you have no emotional connection to club and you are just a hard-nosed businessman who doesn't want to see his investment go down the swanny. What is your next move?

Throw myself off a boat in the South China Sea with any luck.

Shame he's not Russian, he'd have been out a third story window months ago.

Sell the club to the highest bidder. He had the chance to do that in November and chose not to.

Or as IR suggests, do a Maxwell. Not sure what it would mean for the club, but it would definitely mean a party in Reading.

So the question, if the EFL charge Dai again which seems inevitable now and he`s found guilty and banned from football ownership for 12 months, what happens?
As far as I can see he would be have to sell within 28 days, and if he refuses what is the outcome, punish the club and again with ejection from the league?

Yes, if Dai is banned and he doesn’t agree a sell we’d be expelled from the football league.

The bottom line is we are oxf*rd unless he miraculously agrees to sell us.

Or the EFL obtain powers that don't currently exist to force him out.

Is anybody else at the point where expulsion may be preferable to this saga continuing? If Dai is still here in a couple of years, we'll probably be non League and have no real infrastructure to build upon. A clean kill by the EFL and we all know where we stand, and can focus our energy properly into building our own club.

I don't see any other option for the FL, or the IC.

Dai is making a mockery of them and undermining them and the integrity of the competition.

He'll probably try to "sell" the club to his sister in the event of him being banned from football activity.
