Good news. Will add another option to our attack, let's hope he can jump and hold ball up to soot the style of hoof ball being played currently.

Good signing - This should really bolster our youth team. I think we have some tough games against Bracknell College and Lidl-Oxford Road coming up.

Any news about first team transfers?

Welcome to the club.

Looks pretty useful, especially when he gets his nut on the ball.

'Perhaps a little shorter on fitness than the rest of our squad' - If Manset is included in that number then Sheppard must be incredibly unfit!

Lets hope he's good enough to actually start. It does look like he will bring a new dimension to our attack. I hope he's rapid because we need a quicker team!!

Pardon my ignorance on this, but respecting that Sheppard has had a goodish season, 10 goals, Irish Champions etc....... is this an "in the team" now signing or another "one for the future" ? something that we seem to have an awful lot of at the moment ?

Sounds like a good deal...sounds like one of these "we will take him on loan until the summer and if he is good enough, we will take him on a free". Probably won't please a large number of people on here... "tight-wad Madejski tightening the purse strings again by signing another 2nd rate and unproven player...blah blah blah"

Am I missing something? Where have you got the loan bit from?

Why is it a pointless signing?

Are you trying to tell me that Church, Alfie, Hunt, Manset and Williams are going to fire us to the Premier League?

Two of those could do so but three don't look like they can and one is injury prone and not at all consistant.

Would you rather we stopped trying to improve the side?

I guess he'll be looking forward to have some supporters to celebrate in front of... I suspect his propensity to score with his head might only encourage our fabulous long ball game though.......

FGS why the same bloody moaning as on the thread in UR&G? Just welcome him. I doubt any of you know better than the scouts and the manager so just accept their judgement!
