It wasn't really a Press "conference" was it? It was just an opportunity for the media to take pics of the 2 new players holding their shirts, right?

Jonny and Adie went into the conference room, 4 seats were behind the desk and no-one was in there. The club last minute decided to unveil the players in the stands. I'm not surprised there wasn't masses of press in attendance, there rarely is for a Football League club. 107fm were there, BBC Radio Berks, and local press. Pretty much what you would expect.

Cheers for that. You imagine a "Press Conference" to have some sort of statement and maybe a question and answer session, but I'm assuming that didn't happen. Maybe because they still have one more up their sleeves....

I heard just prior to the press conference a furious row between Jason Roberts and Chris Samuelson broke out. Chris Samuelson apparently politely put a hankerchief in Roberts' suit pocket but Roberts took it out and laughed and said 'who is this dude?'. Samuelson apparently went really red and grabbed Roberts by the jacket saying 'this is how we do things now' through gritted teeth. Roberts wasn't having any of it and they had to be separated (by Ady Williams who was the only person around who didn't just stand and stare). After McDermott had a word with Roberts, Jason reluctantly agreed to wear it for the cameras.
Not a great start though.

Do you know why he failed?
Recent medical failures like Bradley Wright-Phillips and Demba Ba have gone on to do quite well.
Apparently he has a leg injury that he has not properly recovered from yet. Whether we return to sign him in the summer will remain to be seen of course.
