Did we actually play quite well today then, I didn't watch it?

pre-penalty, we absolutely dominated, after that we were poor.

2nd half was extremely scrappy and could of gone either way

Yeh! the only reason they were level or even close to us was because of that clown Pog!

sputnik And yes, Akpan was immense.

So much for all the comments regarding not getting-in PL experienced players. Well done Akpan. Maybe Blackman will turn good too.

We played well, but not completely dominant throughout and Sunderland had their chances. A nuetral would probably say a draw was probably the fairest reuslt.

Super dooper.

We looked the better team for large parts of this game and actually played more decent football than we have for a while. Akpan, well, what a player. Thought it was a gaem or two too early for him to start, but he's obviously been showing more Chelsea than Newcastle in training. Legs was atrocious at times, but also did a lot of good and we didn't really get punished for any of his very loose passes. McAnuff was superb in the centre. Quieter once he switched back out wide. He was finding lots of space, running at people and it was a great run and cross for our first goal, nearly had a penalty as well. Good defensive work as usual. Pog did what he's asked to do, apart from give away a penalty. Could have scored too. McCleary was dangerous but in and out. Kebe was Kebe.

We coped excellently being in a different position to recent games and still won. I was getting worried towards the end though. Blackman looks a bit overpriced at £1m+ on that showing, but he's barely trained so we'll see how he does. I think Hunt can be a little miffed he didn't get on, but it does look like Blackman is a knockdown Pog, so we've got two of each striker.

I'm liking Kelly, not perfect but definitely an upgrade.

I think this was one of McAnuff's overall best performances this season and certainty his best through the middle!

L,wood is still a donkey though!

Did Dellor throw a spaz attack when we got the winner?

Sunderland wouldn't have scored but for a crazy penalty. You've got to say we deserved that, even if we rode our luck and Fed had to make a couple of good saves.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann on Final Score:
"It is a momentum thing when you keep scoring late, but you cannot forget Reading were also dropping points at the death in previous games"

:? Maybe i'm having memory issues here but what games have we lost by late goals?

Seems our lads have earned themselves a reputation that cannot be ignored...

SportingLife live text commentary (up and down the divisions)
16:41 GOAL! It's Reading time at the Madejski Stadium as Kebe nets his second of the day in classic late Royals fashion to surely earn his side three points against Sunderland. Reading 2 Sunderland 1.

And...

SportingLife live text commentary (match specific)
85': GOAL - JIMMY KEBE - Finally Harte gets a free-kick right and at the back post Kebe rises above Gardner to head home from two-yards.

Heh
