Yes that's right - was just looking at the Wolves forum and they were complaining about losing to a team with one of the worst away records this season. So I checked. Now it doesn't look so bad but before this game ....

Anyway - anyone know where we can see goal highlights?

Always fun.

Brilliant win - why people say we aren't playoff contenders I'm not sure, build from this and we should be up there.

"Reading are probably the dirtiest side in the league. Very physical and will keep niggling away to get an advantage. Very much like a Brazilian style deference. Don't worry about getting the ball just stop the flow of the game and play off set pieces.

Made them very hard to beat."

seanboyd_2 I'm signing off for the day! will enjoy getting my feet up and enjoying the Merseyside derby.

Points I have taken away today:

> Ian Royal and Lacoste were having a back and forth about his job
> Someone accused Lacoste of having a small dick
> Dave had a fantastic away day at Wolves
> Someone accused Dave of being "Thick" and having "Special Needs"

We get it all on HNA!.

Great win! see ya Tuesday, you nutters!.

I admire your optimism but I just can't see it. Given Watford are 6th on 50 pts after 2/3 of the season, it's safe to assume approx 73-75 points will be required for 6th spot this time around.

In order to do that, we need to get 36 points from 17 games.....We'd have to average over 2ppg. Tough ask IMO.

Someone else may have the stats for McDermott's first season but I would imagine it was similar.

We do have a good team for this league, probably on paper one of the best. Adkins let us down massively, so did our injury list.

I am very optimistic though.

That's definitely not something that would've been said about us a couple of months ago - for me the main reason for this has been Pearce's return to form. Under Adkins he looked like he had lead in his boots, couldn't win a header and seemed disillusioned

what's most disappointing is that the Wolves fans on that forum actually come across as alright and fairly even handed - as opposed to say West Ham or Chelsea have in the past. Must be the Wolves equivalent of Royals Rendezvous.

3points Just seen that Akpan was on the bench and not Karacan (and got game time). That looks pretty ominous for Karacan imo

Played in midweek with the kids. Rested as a precaution apparently.

We've consistently dropped points to teams in the bottom half even under Clarke. We simply weren't in a position to be strong enough at the start of the season to have anything other than an outside chance of top six, even if Adkins had done a better job, or we'd sacked him sooner.

Bollox

This is Ian the civil servant with too much time on his hands..............................bollox is his specialist subject :P

While we pay for him to spend most of the day posting his self justifying sh+te on here, as he racks up the kind of pension most of us can only dream about, he defends the utterly wasted 2 years of Adkin's tenure .

Back in the real world, of course, it is only too obvious that a manager worthy of the term would have needed just a few extra points to have placed us right in the mix for a playoff spot.

And, frankly, why right off that possibility while an outside chance still exists?

I believe we managed something like 16 wins from 18 at the back end of our last promotion season.

I'd much prefer to spend the rest of the season looking up rather than down even if, ultimately, we fall short.
