No flair at all, and no stand out player.

CountryRoyal lol if we play like this every game we won't finish in the playoffs. Brighton haven't had an easier game all season.

We'll turn up against 7th ish downwards.

John Madejski's Wallet Stam got this very, very wrong today

Yes 100%.

No real answers today. I feel for him and the players. We're being openly mocked here it's embarrassing.
Can't wait to get away....

Emeraldroyal Utterly utterly outclassed.

Credit to Brighton they have performed with purpose and a maturity.
They look every bit the auto promotion chasing side they are.

I'm a bit lost for words in respect of our performance. With a few exceptions we simply haven't turned up.
No plan B and every goal came from us losing the ball in attack.
Poxy painful. I'm going to numb the pain with a bottle of Bordeaux 8)

Completely agree.

It's so frustrating, I don't mind losing but at least turn the oxf*rd up.

Rotherham would probably have beaten us tonight.

Ian Royal Meh, last warning. Grabban still had 1 to 2 to beat.

Still a cynical challenge that should probably have got him his second yellow.

I think I'd want a Reading or neutral player to have done worse to be sent off. He could have gone certainly, but from an objective view I think the ref made the right call. It's hardly a poor decision, maybe 60/40 at worst.

We saw enough of Sidwell over many years to know that he knew exactly what he was doing, which was to commit the foul to prevent Grabban getting a shot in, which he succeeded in doing. The ref's approach should not change just because a player is already on a yellow but I would bet that Sidwell would have been booked for that foul had he not been.

FiNeRaIn Brighton will win the league in my opinion, they remind me of the BMD side that won it a few years ago. On paper they are nothing special and they don't have any players that really instill fear in anyone other than maybe Knockaert. Their manager is pretty one dimensional but when you are that organized with a winning mentality it works. They are clinical, have belief, work hard and they seem to have a way of coming back into games or finding late goals. Props to them, I hate their fans as they are without doubt one of the most hypocritical and arrogant fan bases in the championship without justification but they are a well organized club and they've at least done things the right way. We really can't begrudge them their chance in the top flight. With a couple of additions with more quality they could survive as the trend seems to be prem sides on the downward spiral getting relegated now rather than new promotions.

Great post. We can't begrudge them winning the battle this season.

Even if they top the league, that is half as many times as Reading have - and they will finish nowhere near 106 points 8)

Refs frequently let off softer yellow cards when its going to be a second, not always, but often. I'm not disputing Sidwell knew exactly what he was doing, but there was still plenty of work to do to get a decent shot in.

Sorry but generally that was a complete embarrassment to watch

Stam better watch out as with Thai owners his position can't be that secure

Not particularly disheartened. Brighton have invested far more in their team than we have and started the season from a much stronger foundation than we did.

Our players and management have done brilliantly to turn things around so much from the previous two seasons of crap and to be where they are in the table.

We are still well placed to finish in the top 6 and, as we know, once a team is in the playoffs, anything can happen, regardless of where they finish and how many points they accrued in the regular season.

Ian you don't need to trust me but I really wouldn't trust your own eyes.

The lack of red card and your justification of the refs decision is a case in point

Not as bad as everyone is making out. Still a work in progress. We aren't going up this year, so hopefully this will be a good learning experience.

Jesus christ, you guys are embarrassing yourselves again

Brighton are top of the league, clearly a much better side much further along in their plan than us, and they were extremely good at punishing us for our sloppiness.

Why are you acting as if we just lost to the bottom side?
