Burnley conceded on 42 mins tonight. Has DeatH’s record already gone?

I believe it has. Fair play, that's some run for James Trafford, at 1,132 minutes without conceding a goal, beating Death's football league record by 29 minutes.

Just the 7 bookings for time wasting in that run though

How many bookings did Death get - ever?

It's likely in those days that goalkeepers would go through their entire career without getting a booking.

AthleticoSpizz Yeah nice, but regarding Brum, it matters even that bit more so less.

Leeds have blown the the only ‘record’ that actually matters to us.

Leeds have blown the only record that matters to you.

Clearly other people care about it as an FL record, me included

If Birmingham track form, they likely equal it.
With a cup final (13th April) and promotion likely assured before then (need 5 wins or opposition to lose, cup final is 4 games away), even if the run-in itself is quite easy, I can see them playing in their flip flops post Wembley, especially if they win there.

Brum will definitely run it close but I do think they'll fall short.

Fine……see if I care ( etc)

Whatever it will be it will be, but it won’t beat our Championship record.

…..and Ian will always Ian

I'm not fussed if a team breaks the record at a lower level. It's the Championship record that matters to me.

'The Championship record' is a terrific defence mechanism.

We have a Football League record that we should be proud of, and frankly I thought us a lot better than redefining the record just because someone might beat it.

Most points in a season (3 points for a win – 46 matches): 106, Reading (Championship, 2005–06)

That's our record. Wiki doesn't even list 'most points in the CHamPiOnSHip' on its records and stats pages.

Well quite. Have the class to acknowledge it and congratulate the team to take it when it happens.

Anyone seriously think if Brum break it people will still sing we've got the (Championship) record, 106 next season in L1? Will they buggery.

yeah, bit weird to suddenly change it from a football league record to a Championship record just to desperately try and cling to it. Have some class and acknowledge someone else's achievement if it goes.

I list it as a club record, makes no difference who gets more than 106 we’ll always hold the club record.

What about if the club does go bust, a new entity is set up, climbs back up to the EFL and manages 107 points?

Wouldn't it be a new club? Therefore, the old record stands for a club that no longer exists . The new club would start with a club record in season one and there would be a new club record when that points tally is bettered.
