Yes was impressed with him when came into team, last few games bar a few nice touches been mainly anomonous getting concerned that he might not be good enough. Hope I’m wrong and he’s just having a blip as he learns his trade.

On the match Button was Button ie sh*t did like the quote about how strange it was being out of box as normally rooted to spot in six yard box

The rest were mixed good in places with mistakes showing the rawness of them all, should have been out of game if they could shoot but gutted in the end, knew we’d lose the shootout as these youngsters seem to be sh*t in previous shootouts

I have a similar notion with CBC, he's this kid we've been told is an amazing talent but has been given multiple opportunities now and has already developed a reputation for dropping a clanger, when he replaced the injured Pereira for the Leyton Orient game people just expected a mistake at some point and he didn't disappoint.

He may make it elsewhere but I suspect he's had enough chances here and will be gone upon the expiry of his contract in the Summer.

i don't understand why he hasn't been sent out on loan to get some games under his belt. hes crying out for games to get rid of these little mistakes he makes. 3 games for st albans city and 8 games for welling utd. he will be 22 in march. he's 3rd choice here. its becoming now or never for him

I think I've mentioned it before, but he's in a group of players who'd absolutely need a loan to League Two or the National League to develop beyond their current level (see Wareham; Rushesha; Wellens too).

tidus_mi2 Honestly, glad we went out, with our squad as it is, even if we'd held on to the 1-0, we'd go into the next round being forced to play 4 senior players, while Button has been an easy selection to take one of those slots, his red card meant we'd have to go with 4 senior outfield players, or, alternatively, put Pereira in goal.

Wouldn't (or won't now) his suspension have kicked in for the next league game i.e. this Saturday, even if he is only usually on the bench?

I don't think EFL Trophy suspensions apply to League One matches, will find out on Saturday I suppose.

Clyde1998 Also that team only has three qualifying players - so one non-qualifying player would have to start on Saturday to avoid some sort of penalty.

Garcia starts today against Blackpool, so resolving this problem.
