savage 4 england Not too sure about Sidwell being MOTM.

Agree- he has some good tackles in the game but he also has some quite bad ones. Also saw a man go by him quite easily many a time.

Platypuss Giving the ball away far too much - carry on and we will be punished.

And what was our punishment? to win 1-0.

xtreme rebel Shane Long put himself about when he came on! :D

According to the BBC, Shane got booked. Can someone remind me what for as, despite watching the game in the pub, I have no recollection

He was penalized (correctly) for handball and threw a hissy fit and tossed the ball away. He should also have been booked for the tackle that led to the incident with Carroll.

What pub? And I can only remember Carroll getting booked for reacting to a Long foul!

Royal Rother Although I want to see us play entertaining stuff, at the moment I don't give a fig. We'll play our football on other occasions.

Is this the real Royal Rother?

Who was the video "provided" by? Or was there a projector showing the game on the wall?

There is far too much nonsense talked about percentage possession. The stark fact is:GOALS: READING 1 WESTHAM NIL.

It could have been 95% West Ham 5% Reading and West Ham wouls still have found it hard to penetrate. Apart from the brilliant Sidwell saving header, I did not see very much danger to Royals.
