Sorry, had to get to a friend's wedding reception to get to so couldn't hang around. Had to get there for 7 as he wanted me to be in some photos. I, strangely, found that more important that watching some blokes wave to a crowd.

Pretty odd behaviour to hang about and say cheerio to a bunch of blokes we're seeing next week anyway. :?

I'm sure they'll live.

I needed a piss.

That damned Madejski lager...

However Zac, as I am a Y26er, next time this happens if you could let me piss in your pocket rather than go to the bog, then I'd be killing a multitude of birds with one..er..dribble..

Let's face it 20,000 or so reading fans in one stadium, mostly blokes, quite a few have had a few beers it's suprising there aren't more fights, not that two blokes went at each other on saturday.

People leaving early is fine with me as long as they don't start leaving then stop to see a corner or freekick or something, i.e when they get in the way of those staying. Taking the theatre analogy you wouldn't get lots of people walking out 5 minutes before the end even if it was shit if they were going to disrupt other people's viewing of said film/play. Quite frankly it's rude. i don't see why it is any different in football, i end up standing to see past the people leaving in front of me then some other oxf*rd from behind tells me to sit down because he can't see.

Royalee The stewards at the Madejski probably went in looking to cause trouble and went looking for it as usual. If they'd just left it and let people go I'm sure there wouldn't have been any fuss. It's not just the stewards at our place though, a good 75% of them are morons wherever you go.

Bolton stewards are ridiculously stupid. One told me not to look at Reading fans cos, "If they see you, they'll have you", and another kept having a go at people for singing!

And at West Ham 3 yrs ago my flagpole got conviscated along with my peaceful Alan Pardew banner.

Fascists.

Can't be bothered to read it all but fancied posting anyway.

1. I sit in Y26 and moved (with the people I was sitting with) nearer to the half way line to see the players where, I hasten to add, there were plenty of empty seats.

2. The fight was more entertaining than the game.

3. Don't really care what other people choose to do or when they choose to leave - I go to watch my team, I pay my st and couldnt' give a flying oxf*rd about others that i don't know

4. If you're stupid enough to start making comments to people who are leaving, who are obviously wound up about the game, then you shouldn't be stupid enough to not expect some rebuttals

Anyway, what do I know I'm a girl?

Freedom of choice.. people can choose when they leave. Turn it the other way round. Would you like to be forced to stay somewhere you did not want too?

I more or less agree with Coppells Bit on the Side, except I think in a civilised society you should not have to expect a rebuttal.

we won nowt as you well know scarface

though i think our highest ever league position, and therefore greatest ever season, would merit some sort of congratumalations

and i dont really care what the others in the crowd do

except for the fact it would have been a better thankyou to the players if more than 10,000 stayed

i wouldnt dream of saying aything to people leaving, but i did wonder why they were all leaving.just seemed a bit churlish after the season weve had

thats all.

each to his own though i suppose

Yes, but surely in a civilised society surely you should be expected to defend yourself. I do agree that violence is the wrong way to do it. People should think about consequences. I'm sure the people that started it are having to dealing with their bans.
