bobby m's syrup I listened to the Wigwam commentary on line. The coms thought that a draw would have been a good result, although they were hacked off to loose. Based on what I heard, we played very well.

It's a good result, but no, overall, we didn't.

according to merson on sky we were the better team and [b]created[b] chances but wigan had chances to get a draw which we [b]gave[\b] them

however, merson usually talk rubbish

1st half we were but 2nd half we gave too much away and Wigan deserved thier goal overall! Would have been an injustice if they got all 3 points, which we looked like giving them at some stages!

Shorey is not playing with the same passion as last season that is for sure!

After our recent horrible defeats I think this is the best we could possibly hope for.

There's no way we'd put in an amazing performance adn things'd go back to normal overnight.

It's all about beginning to turn the corner and building confidence.

Overall a fair performance and a good result.

Well done boys.

Bryn is clearly not up to the pace.

Seriously, it is embarrassing he is still starting games.

Indeed it is time for Bryn to be dropped...I could not understand why Fae did not come on after an hour to replace him

Bryn = Too old, too slow. Good for the final 15 min. Not a starter in a million years.

Why buy Fae and Cisse if you are not going to play them?

On the rare occasion our manager does buy players he doesn't ever play them.

How much money must Reading have in the bank that could be used for transfers? Complaining about Little's injury and Seol's departure doesn't disguise the fact we didn't manage to get a right winger in before the transfer deadline. That will be us oxf*rd until january then, and who would bet against no right winger coming in then?

All this and our chairman seems surprised that he has to resort to extreme measures to tempt fans back?

38000. LOL

What's for breakfast, Dad?

I am merely soaking up the time before you moan at people that actually went to the game

They will be on soon, be patient

With confidence low we weren't going to go back to last season's performances in one game, this was simply a must win game and the 3 points were all that mattered. I thought we'd scrape a 2-1 win without playing particularly well, Wigan were always going to be a tough side to play and this was their first defeat against bottom half opposition. We weren't great by any means, and we were probably slightly fortunate to win, but for large parts of the game we played pretty well. We were well on top in the 1st half and Koumas' free-kick was the only decent shot Wigan had. In the first 15 mins of the 2nd half we panicked and started hitting hopefull balls forward. The introduction of Convey settled us down and although Wigan probably had the better chances in the 2nd half we still created enough chances ourselves to win the game.

The main plus points for me were Kitson who was back to his best, and Harper who had his best game in the Premiership.
