I've seen this written a few times. Anybody who actually believes the statement can you please explain how it's possible to say it and keep a straight face?

Quite!

They might have the same names but they very definitely aren't the same players!

That isn't what I meant.

i take it you mean the abscence of sidwell?

4-5-1 genius.......

I think you can write off virtually all of our away games bar the bottom 6 or so (ok except sunderland..!!)- ever since Man U we look an absolute pushover away from the mad stad. All we can hope for is maintaining a decent home record, if so it should keep us away from the bottom 3/4. Not much more i can say on a positive note really!!

No change to the score?

We must be defending that 3-0 scoreline well!

From the Beeb site:

1558: "Blackburn are a good team but there just seems to be something seriously amiss at Reading."
AC via text on 81111

1555: Some player rater chat. Top of the Pops at Craven Cottage are Diomansy Kamara and Hameur Bouazza with 7.50.

Fulham-Derby Player Rater
Not surprisingly, the top man at Ewood Park is Benni McCarthy with 8.50. Dave Kitson tops Reading's stats with 7.50.

He's talking about Chelsea Ginger.

Ermm. That's one player. Yes. There are a number of others either not playing this season who did last or, playing this season who didn't last. The idea that it's the same team is laughable.

A more sensible interpretation would have been that we are missing Little. He was our talisman last year, not Sidwell.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

It's starting to look less likely that we will have to endure two games v Watford next season!

The key is confidence.

With confidence we can just compete.

Without we're outclassed.

Simple.

Need better quality players in all positions.

.............or get some more confidence.

OK, so we are missing Sidwell, but he wasn't the sole reason why we did so well last season. We've seem to have lost that hunger that everyone was talking about. That's the worst thing for me. I can take getting beaten if we are giving it everything, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Aren't sports scientists meant to sort the confidence thing?!

If not, perhaps we should revert to Uri!!
