andrew1957 I am surprisingly excited by this signing.

He has a reasonable scoring record and is a hard worker. Dundee fans are almost all praising him and sad to see him going (if he does). Just because he doesn't carry a huge price tag does not mean he is no good. Look at Doyle and Kitson who we paid 3350K and £78K for respectively.

£3.35m for Doyle ??? paid £78K £78K for Kitson??? - we paid £150k - you arent't Ian Wood Smith are you??? :D

Would everyone stop using Doyle and Kitson ans examples of bargains. Bargains are very few and far between. We've had more expensive flops (Fae, Halford, Cisse to a small extent) than we have had bargains over the same period of three or four years.

Also this guy can't get in the Irish squad, a squad which contains Shane Long. That's Shane Long who nobody on here see's as a starter come August the 11th. I know we're not going to replace Kits, we've gone down a league, but surely we can look for a striker that won't be starting as fourth choice?!

papereyes
That Friday Feeling Be funny if we draw Chelsea in the cup and can unleash two Hunts.

I'll reserve judgement on (new) Hunt until I've seen him play.

To be honest I'd be happy with *any* signing right about now just to get the ball rolling.

Hunt --> Cech <-- Hunt

Brilliant!

Well spotted - it should of course be £350k which is the total we paid for Kitson- £150K initial plus add ons.

If the three current strikers stay Doyle and Lita would almost certainly start with Long on the bench. I suspect SC will want to see the new Hunt in the reserves before adding him to the squad - that seems to be his normal practice - but surely we need competition up front if the other three do not fire.
