That's Karacan and Pearce out then.

That's possibly true. But if Long is out for Hunt that ain't a bad thing!

Good to hear, this is what I would do:

1. Bikey for Ingi
2. N Hunt for Long
3. Move hunt to CM, drop Karacan to bench, put Kebe on left and bring Henry onto right.
4. Maybe Fedders for USA

winchester_royal LOL @ everyone writing off our chances after 6 games. We are currently 7th, and have had 3 tricky away games.

We still have Marek to come back.....things are not as bad as some of the cocks on here make out.

Will he have got faster and developed some stamina?

Dunno, but his passing, ability, and creativity will still be there.

But the games I've seen have seen him not show his full range of ability simply because of some lack of fitness and pace.

i agree that bikey should come in but i am not sure if it should be pearce or ingi who are dropped
agree totally with N hunt for long
Disagree with Shunt going CM, I would be dropping harper not karacan and i would not bring in henry and leave convey out
keep USA

LEGGI PREDICTS:
After another no show, dire, performance at Watford 2 weeks ago, its time we got our first win at Portman Road, Jim will no doubt change the team for Reading's visit, (he'll probably change it again even if we win) and the Town faithful will demand a better display than the previous 2 League games at Home. Sadly though, I feel it will not come this weekend, Its worrying times to be a Town fan at the moment, I'll predict a 3-1 defeat. The ex-Premiership team having much more talent than we do!!!!

This Ipswich fanzine never thought it would be tricky...we have more talent ... :D
The point being, week in week out we will be shown up for what we are to fans of other teams in the division who think we are still good and trading on our prem status. Certain parties need a big reality check in our team cos I'm still not sure they've got the message.

there might be some other views on there where their more knowledgeable fans might be anticipating a close 1 -0/ 2- 0 victory. If I chosea qoute from here and said this was representative of all royals views we might come across as a bunch of Gus´s

Must go, lovely sparring with you, see you on Tuesday :)[/quote]

you say it like that would be a bad thing you rascal :|

Archie's penalty Long has not been good for an awfully long while.

...and as we drop points and the games slip by, its too bad that Reading Football Club don't realize it.

Shane Long isn't good enough and never has been.

Starting him at Ipswich and expecting a result? We're having a laugh.

If we want promotion, he has no business starting. End of.

An hour of huff and puff and honest endeavor from him just doesn't cut it I'm afraid.

He doesn't have enough quality or end product, and its costing us dearly.

He needs to go out on loan to the lower divisions to show and prove what he can do...and I'm not totally convinced he would be a star there, either.

Good grief. Listening to Steve Coppell these days is like witnessing an elderly relative's descent into senile dementia.

It's the 'I' word, (ineffective) being used by independent commentators. I can stomach most failings, but ineffective now, is a pretty poor return on limited investment...........?

Long does not need to go out on loan, he needs to be sold, would have been better keeping Cox, at least he was a local lad, and knows where the net is. Poor Long is out of his depth and has been since he came to us. However he has learned a lot and has a future in football.

Another goal for Cox today,if only he'd been given the opportunities the grossly inferior Long has had.

Coppell saying it breaks his heart to see Reading fans leaving early is a good soundbite, but let me say this.

I was one of the fans who left early and it is one of the few times I have ever done that.

The reason I did it was because I was frustrated and angry and could no longer bear to watch us struggling against a very average Ipswich team who had yet to win at home this season.

I just couldn't take any more, me and the 300 or so others who left when the second goal went in.

Royal Lady We wanted Coppell to stay as we thought he was the very best person to get us back into the Prem. We didn't foresee that we'd sell our best players and spend a couple of hundred grand on a 3rd choice left back who gets subbed in his second game.

also if coppell went madejski would get in the cheapest possible replacement for him - in the same way we replace players who are sold

If you want instant results, have a w*nk, after that maybe have athink about how to run a football club that has just been relegated in a country possibly heading for recession.

And then realise that people struggling to make ends meet are extremely unlikely to spend their hard earned cash on watching a team of cheap replacements who are failing to produce the results on the pitch! What's more waving your arms around before the game doesn't improve matters either!

Very average Ipswich side? The same Ipswich side that lost 2 games at home all last season with limited investment? So with Ipswich being average that must make Reading very poor.

I'll add my 2p from an Ipswich supporters view.

Shane Long is horrendous.
Kebe looks fairly decent
Doyle, suggestions that he is worth £7.5 million  he is dogshit, totally overated same for S Hunt the gypo twat.
Hahneman is fat and doesn't seem to be able to hold onto a ball.
Armstrong, so glad we didn't buy him very average.
Harper I thought was supposed be a midfield master, Owen Garvan made him look ridiculous

Oh and do you Reading fans have any songs to sing or do you just clap?

Your glory time is over, you can see it falling away with each game along with your attendances. If you keep under performing I can see Coppell walking away like he normally does.

Ipswich are a very average team who we made look good today because we played so poorly. You're mid-table at best mate. Having said that, so are we on that showing. You'll finish below Norwich as well.

So your saying that Charlton are also average? Because last season they were VERY average and still are VERY average, its a common theme in this league you see.

But if you insist on calling us average and predict mid table for us, then I will say that your are horrendous and are relegation fodder. You haven't the squad to dramatically change things around because your dear beloved chairman would rather buy Bentleys and build new houses for himself than invest in his squad.
