Sun Tzu Federici's slide out of the area wasn;t an error of judgement, he had to go for the ball but how he was supposed to stop the slide I have no idea.
He could have kicked it away!

Ian RoyalRev Algenon Stickleback HSun Tzu Surely it's what most commentators say about them ? Although to be fair Reina is a very good keeper so two should be three.
Remove Torres and Gerrard and they are very average and way below the standards [i]expected of Liverpool.[ib]
the bolded part is the key point - "average" by a champions league club's standards, rather than just "average".
There's probably not a player in Reading's history who would get in that team on ability.
Kerry Dixon? Robin Friday? Neil Webb? Nicky Shorey? Insua was godawful afterall. Hard to judge N'Gog on one showing but possibly Doyle?

Pablo Karacan had a great game. Siggy and Jobi also very good.
Now we have to continue playing like this against Newcastle next game.

Southbank Old Boy A lot of people getting carried away on a performance where all we really did was contain, to a degree, a very poor Liverpool side
Apart from a good performance from little Jem I didnt see anything to get too excited about
Get a point at home on Saturday and look like we are actually capable of winning the game and I will be a lot more enthusiastic

BenReadingFC What was your post match prediction, mine was that we were gonna get raped after the pitiful performance at Plymouth. I heard all the apologies from players etc after the game and hoped for a better display but this outdid what I expected on the night. Made me proud to be a Reading supporter again. Another great game under the floodlights with plenty of action in the Y26 stands as well due to some plastic Scouse making himself known + wearing a shirt. I did lol when the Stewards grabbed him and somebody came down the stairs and twatted him in the head. Saw quite a few flying coins being thrown at him from above as he was man handled down the stairs. Great Performance by a Reading team that looked shockingly poor earlier in the week, Where was this TEAM of players at Plymouth with such urgency. Dont just shine for the TV and plastics, do it for the hardcore.

For f*cks sake, can't you ever acknowledge anything good in any club apart from RFC?
They may not have performed to their price tags/standards yesterday but to deny that they are a club full of quality players is absolutely absurd!
Surely it's what most commentators say about them ? Although to be fair Reina is a very good keeper so two should be three.
Remove Torres and Gerrard and they are very average and way below the standards expected of Liverpool. All over the pitch they are lacking in quality which is why they are out of the Champions League and in trouble in the league.
I know you hate RFC and take every opportunity to see us in a negative light but it seems pointless to suggest Liverpool at the moment are full of class players. This season gives endless instances to prove that compared to the genuinely class sides Liverpool are lacking.
In terms of a club however (very different to a team) I have a great deal of respect for them and the trips to Anfield with Reading were superb experiences.

hiro Saw the game also on TV here in Japan (Live coverage started 2:10AM!), and I was pretty impressed how Reading plays against five times European champion.
It was rare opportunity for non-UK resident to see Reading players joined last Summer in the game, and to be honest, I thought we play much better than I can imagined from comments in Hob Nob last 5 months.
Well, I can now stop worry about religation matter, as long as Royals are capable of showing that level of performance.
I still much prefer team of 2005-06 season and it was joy to watch Royals against WBA in FA cup that year. Pure magic football for me.
Now I feel like saying; Happy New Year to all!

I know others wisely advise me to ignore you, since you talk down to everyone but you really are a pratt of the first order! You 'know I hate RFC' - you know nothing of the sort. Just because I have absolutely no time and liking for Madejski and some of those that work for him does not mean that I hate the football team but even that massive distinction is probably too subtle for your mind. You only haveto read the comments that I have made praising the team's performance yesterday and saying how nice it was to be able to be proud of them to know that you are talking complete and utter shyte when you claim I hate RFC, just as you are talking shyte when you knock the quality of Liverpool's squad.

What a load of bollocks! Would you rather Reading get relegated and lose all it stars ( Siggy, Karacan and McAnuff ) than watching them play great football? I would rather survive this horror season than to play nice football TBH.
