id imagine the prospect of working under a director of football may well put off a fair few english managers

Which is odd, you'd think the club would explain that Hammond just shovels up the managers shit.

Because we don't agree with him. Of course he probably won't get the irony of that...

You almost heard right. It was actually Hughes, Souness and Jewell as the first ever Management Trio.

So you're saying you want him to plug your black hole?

Don't have one. My finances are all in check, thank you.

Suggest you talk to QPR fans about that one. Brought in loads of high price players on huge wages who failed miserably. On reflection he should be ideal now that we no longer want to follow the Reading way.

Don't think he wants to leave Barnet though.

I'm not doubt he didn't have a great time with QPR but speak to most Wales, Blackburn, Man City or Fulham fans and they should tell you he did pretty well.

He wouldn't be top of my short list but he's not a bad manager just because he had a crap spell in charge of a completely mental club with many issues.

But on the other hand, Hughes acted like a complete prick in his departure from Fulham, and is clearly way too big for his boots. Doesn't appear to actually get along with anyone in football either. One of my least favourite managers out there
