SCIAG
RG30 Craig Tanner joins Plymouth on loan until January. Good move for him. Assume he played in the U21's defeat at Home Park a few weeks back?

Think he was picked out by a local journo as the best player on the pitch.

Yep

Good move for Tanner as he obviously isn't close enough to the first team here at the moment.

Shame he didn't get a club in League One, but it's more important he plays and Tshibola's spell at Hartlepool seems to have done wonders for him.

I really hope this loan is the making of Tanner and he impresses enough to come back in January and challenge for a place.

U21s away to Boro tonight, which should also give us an idea as to who might (or might not) be featuring against Colchester.

Strong Under 21 team picked against Middlesbrough tonight would suggest that we are playing the first team squad tomorrow night. The first team squad looks likely to include Tshibola and Samuel but no other youngsters.

Tonight - Moore, Long, Griffin, Shaughnessy, Hyam, Sweeney, Semedo, Kuhl, Liburd, Kelly and Novakovich. Subs Owusu, Ward, Jules, Fridjonsson and Cardwell.

1-1 so far, Liburd scoring first for us.

Anyone else think we might see Liburd in the first team by Christmas?

By next week if HRK injures himself again. He is a winger isn't he?

No. We need Sa, Cox, Blackman and Samuel to get injured.

Don't think Kuhl ever went to Spain.
I thought he had gone to the Netherlands to meet up with Mallorca at their training camp with a view to a possible long. In the same way we've not yet signed Furtado I would imagine the deal for Kuhl has either not yet been agreed by everyone, or isn't going to happen. But all that had originally been announced was an initial get together to look at the possibilities.

I think we may do. Although he's older than when Long signed for us, this deal has a few similarities. Would probably only make the bench, but if he's scoring goals for the U21s, he might force his way in.

That said, it also wouldn't surprise me if he went out on loan to a league side in January.

Think he saw the same things that Jimmy saw when he went there. The set up is far from being Championship standard and well below the professionalism we have at Reading.

Reading insisted he came back rather than go back to Mallorca with them. They wanted him and he was interested in staying.

So, a guy who hasn't kicked a ball for a year and a half, went for a trial at a well known Spanish club, and decided not to join them because the set up wasn't as good as Readings? Think he's having you on m8.

No, his m8 works in the Megastore, and his colleague in the stock room heard it from Jimmy's old m8 who is the brother of one of the coaches who worked at Reading in the 2009/10 season.
