Major Inconvenience Two parties just means it'll up the price, so whoever wins will have no cash left over for any transfers at all.

I don't think the price will change, its what they can offer to the club that will (ie, their vision for the future and how much transfer kitty there will be etc)

Actually, Zingarevich won't give a toss about the future of the Club. All he'll be interested in is the dosh.

Far from it. He and SJM are both trying to ensure that no key players would be sold off this month, to give us the best chance of promotion this season; so he does care how he leaves the club, and does also take pride in what he has done here in the two years he's owned the club. You might dispute that, but you have to look at the academy and the work we've done to try and expand the brand, and our academy link-ups abroad, new training ground etc. Whether the club paid for all of these things is irrelevant; Anton lead the way with those ideas, and deserves credit for seeing them through.

as I said previously I prefer to see AZ as a dreamer rather than a schemer.

I do indeed. That was all then (when he was interested and around the place). This is now (when he isn't)

if it's for the whole 100% then he has to drag SJM along who I truly believe has the best interests of the club (at this stage)

New players? Who needs new players?

Finding a style that works is like finding 11 new players....!

I have written this transfer window off. Cannot see us buying anyone now - just hope we don't lose any more other than Baird and Sharp.

Billy Sharp is still without a club for a reason, and it isn't for lack of interest. Reading are just waiting for the money to buy him; which begs the question why haven't we used the Long money that's just come in? Or is that a decision being left for the new owners.. and that maffff lad people back up as being reliable said a deal was done and we're just waiting for funds. Hopefully that's true. I really cannot see this window passing without a signing or two coming in.

The "Long money" instantly arrives in the bank account doesn't it?

Maybe the club doesn't want to commit to additional expenditure at present with funds that haven't yet arrived?

Also with Pog and Alf banging them in without him, Sharp should be worried.

There was a view shared with me at the weekend that as there was likely to be significant cash available post takeover either in this transfer window or the next (which would potentially enable us to buy players better than Sharp or Baird) the club would hold off player investment until this was clear (doesn't rule out loan signing).

Form is temporary, class is permanent.
At the mo we don't have the class with probably just one player (Mc Carthy) being up to Prem football.

That's irrelevant. The parachute money arrives at the end of the season, but you budget for it and operate knowing it's coming. We know that money is coming and we could if we wanted to, use it.

That's not what I meant. There's plenty of interest in him and he's said he wants to go and settle somewhere, not loan again. The fact he is still without a new club with that interest there just adds to the rumours that he is again, like with the loan, waiting to sign here!
