The threat of the sack might keep him away, but a post appearing in the wrong forum is enough to bring the pedantic sod back.

A very tempting offer for sig, considering hoffenheim are second place in the german bundesliga, and pushing for the bundesliga title. I wouldn't be surprised if gylfi did take the two hour flight to germany to agree terms, bearing in mind the clubs apparent financial statues which madejski keeps drilling into reading fans. I'd be upset if he did leave  .

Mat22 If Gylfi does leave, it will finally prove that Madjeski has no interest in getting Reading back into the Premiership, all he is clearly interested in is recouping some of the millions he has put into the club. We will struggle this year if we lose Gylfi, we won't have time (or be given the money) to bring in a replacement. The last two years, I like most have become disillusioned with the way the club is being run, and if this is true, I will NOT be renewing my season ticket next year.

Would of thought that was proved a few seasons back.......since then any statement made by chairman should be taken as just hot air

Just watched Sig's goal again, not that my knowledge of goal celebrations is anything to go on, it did not look like a player that thought he may of scored his last goal for RFC.

Nothing mentioned on the TSG official site specifically relating to Gylfi. A shame, cos he will leave sooner or later and I think the Bundesliga would really suit him - plus we won't have to watch him tearing up a league in the same country.

Some of the millions?

Funny how in the early days he was extremely happy to portray it as though he was giving to the club because he wanted to give something back to the community. Now it appears as though the Messiah may have given with one hand and taken back with the other. A bit like a tax holiday and then gifts to the arts and education.

Would those who keep quoting the accounts in support of the great man care to put a value on the gifts to the club?

I will be very upset if he leaves in the next few days.

I hope BD has some good replacement up his sleave. This will affect team moral if he goes I'm sure.
