Paul Lemon. I expected a lot from this loan signing, as I did Nicky Platnauer.

Total letdowns.

3 veesinarow Darren Caskey - overweight, alcoholic & a heavy gambler who came from the same young England stock as Scholes/Beckham etc and never, ever played to his potential. The odd last-minute game-saving free-kick or penalty doesn't count.

A quite unbelievable comment from someone who clearly rarely if ever watched Caskey play! Seems to have entirely missed the season during which a fit Caskey scored 20+ goals for us, many of which weren't the odd last-minute game-saving free-kick or penalty and one of which involved close to a box to box run in the build up.

Would also be careful of accusations such as 'alcoholic' too!

Emerse Fae was disappointing.
Asaba, Goater, Colin Gordon, Mass Sarr, Paul Bodin.

Could go on, but I'm hungry.

Either Martin Keown or Sir Les.

Experience should have added something to the side!

I remember Ferdinand missing a seemingly open goal from about 2 yards. You might be right. They were both well past their sell by dates.

Went to school with him (few yrs younger), so really wanted him to do well. I will always remember the goal against forest.

Michael Meaker - especially as the False Hoops got Simon Osborn. Who were the biggest losers in that swap?

Come to think of it most of our record signings have been complete duds since Deathie in 1970.

Hughie Cheetham
George Shipperley
Steve Moran
Emersae Fae
Greg Halford

there must be others

Craig Maskell - another one of those £250k record signings. Bucket load of goals for Huddersfield...

add to that
James Lambert
Emerse Fae
Mihailov
Elroy Kromheer
