brendywendy
Wax Jacket his banter was SHIT and he gave 100% if you consider football to be 10 yard shuttle runs at half pace across the centre circle

that's the devil's advocate view of course with a large element of truth, was a top player for us nonetheless

oh and his banter was SHIT

pfft

what about hilariously touching murts' knee in the team photo that year?

comedy gold like that dont grow on trees you know

Indeed. back in the 1990s it was pure genius to have Shaka in the team photo next to the two shortest members of the team.

Even though he scored I thought he had piled on a few pounds and was less box to box with Hull than when he left us. Has been out injured though.

Think that is a bit harsh on Rosenior. He tried hard even if he did mouth off a bit sometimes. I will give him a clap when his name is announced but that is all.

Any part of the 106 squad (apart from Stephen Hunt) will always get a round of applause from me

brendywendy thoroughly nice chap, excellent footballer, reading FC leg end, banter master, big mouth, top pointer.treated shabbily by brendan rodgers and th eclub when forced out the door.

will get a bigger round of applause from me, than almost any other 05/06 player on their return

Probably boo Rosenior and laugh every time Harper points at a Reading player going past him with ease.

Quite simply this.
As an integral part of the best and most successful Reading team I have ever been privileged to see. I hope he will get a fantastic reception.

PieEater The edge will be taken off he welcome return after he scored against us at the KC. He looked a better player playing for them.

Still pointing but less so and got a cracking strike in as you say. Not as galling as when he was with SU.

Harper was very overrated. He played well alongside Sidwell but was average the rest of the time.

Having said that, he fully deserves a warm reception as part of our best ever team.

Big cheer from me. His signing was the start of our rise up the league.

Yes he wasn't great at the end of his time here and was pushed out by Rodgers, but he was a great player for 4 or 5 seasons.

Him and all of the championship winning side are reading legends. Stephen Hunt as much as anyone else.

Harper was a superb player and character for us and will always be one of those player's who's career I follow and wish well elsewhere. TBH I was delighted to see him score a great goal against us recently, even though it meant we didn't win.

Harp's gave always always 100% for this club though sometimes it was viewed quite rightly 80%.

Great guy.

Big tick as a (leg end) hall of fame this Millennium ?............... Oh yes
