RobRoyalSnowball Gunnar played well v Sheffield but it's often the case
that first game back players do well on adrenaline, but then
look weaker (than that first-game-back) for a while as they get full match-fitness
Tabb at Burnley was very good, and then how long did he take to get some real form?
Players get worse as they near full match-fitness. That's a new one.

Snowball
HobNobber fails to read properly, fails to think
and then re-writes what was actually posted. SHOCK!
Just for you:
Jay Tabb himself said that for his first game back (v Burnley)
despite not being match-fit, the adrenaline of his first game back "carried
him through".
However, after that game, he felt very tired in games and
did not perform so well. He needed more training and more game time
to get back to something near his best. He is still getting there.
So, NO, they don't get worse. They get one game where they perform well (on adrenaline)
then they play as a player might when not fully-match fit (worse than their one first game back)
and then slowly improve from that lower point as they regain match fitness.
