TBM Mills will go - Zurab won't sign

I think in the cold light of day, this will be wrong.

Sign him in a second.

Hopefully he'll feel guilty enough to sign!!

As someone said previously, signing Bertrand should be a bigger priority than almost anything else other than maybe replacing Shane

Schards#2
Ian Royal Made far too many costly mistakes this season, which combined with cynical Mills isn't a great combination. He's a very good player, but I'm not convinced he's the one we need.

Yep, our results have been shocking since these two were paired up.

With Schards here.

Not mocking, Ian, but if you watched him regularly then you'd see his quality.

Don't care if we sign him or not anymore, 75% of the time he's brilliant, 25% of the time a bomb scare. He played like an absolute w@nk on monday, don't think that will ever leave my memory.

He is out of our league to sign permanently.

Zurab was quality last season and helps us play football, he is bound to have bad games but overall he would be a good signing if we could or should afford him.

i just think zurab wont be at reading next season i have a Opioion Ok

No, I agree that Zurab won't be at Reading next season. That's the only thing I agree with you about. How do you have a better life than me? How do you know my life? I could be a murderer that really enjoys murdering people. I could be a lottery winner who shags a different bird every night. I could be a normal man who works in an office and lives in a rented flat between Reading and Wokingham.

Are you foreign? You say ok after everything, are you from the far east?

Class act. Would sign him in a heartbeat. Have seen him regularly over the last couple of seasons and without doubt he makes us a better team. His performances against Cardiff/Bothroyd (twice at home), Leeds at home and away, really stand out, as well as numerous others, but particularly these as they were against good, free scoring sides.

Not worried if he goes. Pearce and Mills(if he stays) are the long-term future at centre-half. Both are good enough. Zurab is a class act which makes his performance for twenty minutes on Monday unfathomable.

Would much rather us purchase a younger and faster centre back, whether Zurab accepts lower wages or not, couldn't care less. He's past it, and I'm not just talking about Monday.

Zurab was class but now it's time to freshen it up, in all fairness it is our defence that let us down on Monday, not Zurab alone. Griffin is also becoming a liability, Cummings is stepping up too IMHO, so I'd be happy to see him start in August at right back.

Harte I'd keep, just about, because you know he will bag a few goals. I would however still buy a new left back.

Defensively we need to invest, for sure... 3 new defenders?

His contract's up at Blackburn so he won't be staying there wherever he goes. be it with us or not.

I certainly think he's worth signing though, good experienced head which if we retire Bryn and Ivar could be exactly what we need to keep bringing the youngsters through, and could help Morrison's development.

Ian Royal But he has cost us plenty of goals this season, as has Mills.

IGNORING Monday - evidence please.

@ReadingFC on Twitter Khizanishvili's loan has concluded and he's likely to move on, perhaps overseas

Hammond said, "We've had discussions with Zurab, and he did very well for us. He has good opportunities available to him overseas."

The Ryan Betrand that has broken into Chelsea's squad and got rave reviews for his contribution when coming on as a sub for them in a Premier League match you mean?

Yep, thats a good shout, and I think we have a realistic chance of getting him.

or not.

He's been a class act for us, but he's always had a mistake in him. Sadly we'll probably remember him for one of his weakest performances for us. But it's probably right not to try sign him permanently... We need to either have confidence in Pearce or find someone with a bit of pace for the centre of defence.

We do need some pace in the back 4. Monday exposed the shortcomings in that area.
