Franchise FC
URZZ Oh, and of course this beauty - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT4sqNaP ... re=related

I LOVE shouting "URZ" at the pause.

Just watched this and brought a lump to my throat.

For one whole season we were the very best there's ever been at our level - the equaliser at Palace and Bobby's run against Millwall just make you shiver !! 8)

I don't care what happens - I love this club.........where's the passion emoticon

Did you shout URZ at '1.24' in the clip?

I know what you mean though mate, it makes you so jealous of yourself in the sense you want it all back. That team was totally and utterly beautiful.

Rather bizarrely I always associate Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley with Chelsea coming over the wall into the Southbank at our League Cup game in 1987.

Memory is a bit hazy but I guess it must have been at half-time and there was always a bit of baiting going on through the gate at away fans queuing at the food hut in the corner).

'Celebration' always reminds me of 4-3 against Oxford (except I thought it was 3-2 'til I checked). Late Rougier winner, very very wet at the front of the East Stand.

Erm, not before my time at all. I think the two links I posted pre-date Mouldy Old Dough.

Maybe you missed the question mark on my previous post?

pedant's corner

(without checking) I pretty sure Friday and Earles were never at the club at the same time ,ie the former had left two (?) years previoulsy.

But I do remember the spoof song and I cannot listen to the original without singing our version.

On FB they're asking for votes on an "official RFC anthem" but they also want people to change the words. :| The winner, so far, is Wonderwall by Oasis. It will be hard enough to get people to sing that as an anthem, let alone if they want to change the words.
