Hoop Blah
ZacNaloen His first touch lets him down, if he sorts that out he has the raw attributes

And the rest!

He's a physically imposing player yes, but I can't see him developing enough in the footballing department to hold down a place in a half decent Championship side.

I'd say his lack of chances under McDermott probably suggest he sees it in much the same way.

This. He's looked really disappointing when ever I've seen him start for us. The only time he looks any good is when he comes on as a late sub in a game we're chasing. Then everything's a bit frantic, lacking in quality and confused in general, just like he is all the time.

If he's going to make it I think he needs to go back out on loan to League One club. But I'd be surprised if he has much of a Championship career even then. HRK's well ahead of him, Obita now sounds a better option and we've still got Kebe & McAnuff. Bye Bye.

To be fair Antonio had a good game against Northampton (CC2) last season until he got injured.

The worry is that they were League 2 and he did ok in League 1 with Southampton. However, he has not shown that he can step up to Championship level yet. We should give him a chance this season but if he fails to step up I think he will do ok at a slightly lower level.

In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned out to a team in League One to get some first team experience...

...I think that he would suit someone like Colchester.

If Obita has moved ahead of Antonio, it makes sense to let him go. 5th choice at the moment; HRK and Obita are going to be around for a while you'd hope so he's miles away from the first team. And he had done little to impress in a Reading shirt up until now.

When they were at a lower level.
They recently signed the flying machine de Ridder (Ex-Wigan)so I think their sights are higher than Antonio now.

If they'd be playing Antonio regularly, they're unlikely to be challenging.

Different de Ridder:

Wigan - Daniel De Ridder
Saints - Steve De Ridder

And I don't think they are related either.

IR bit harsh ...we have wingers, Mcanuff and Kebe who are shoe-ins ...his problem is that hes not getting first team experience...so is unable to develop ...he's a rough diamond a bit like Manset...but Manset now has his chance...cant see it coming for Antonio...but sods law says he goes to another club and turns out to be a pearler....imo

He's looked pretty lower league and clueless about what he's doing to me. Maybe he'll come good, but Saints really won't be good enough to challenge if they take him and need to play him regularly. League One is about as good as it'll get for Antonio IMO. At least for the next 2-4 seasons.

He is from tooting and mitcham to be fair!
He's not that young either.
All I know that's good about him is that he's got a long throw.

The next Cox? No, because he's nothing like him.

The next player we let go and comes back to haunt us? Maybe, but I doubt it. He'll more likely be the next Bas Savage. He'll get a few chances at other clubs because he's been with us and did alright whilst on loan at Southamption but he'll eventually get sussed out and wind up back in non-league or if he does well League 2.

Reminds me a bit of Trevor Benjamin.

Thought it was the same player-thanks for that.
Anyway this new winger is quick and looks a bit like Lovenkrands-the one who plays for Newcastle and previously at Rangers (to avoid confusion  )
