He went in goal in his very last game for Reading against Wigan when we were 2-0 down and we ended up winning 3-2.

teignmouth hoops Real genuine guy, remember going to Cardiff circa 86 or 87 he scored a hattrick and they refused to give him the match ball because they were so hard up. His goals to games ratio was 1 to 2 . When we signed him he was either on trial or on loan at Pompey and they couldn't afford the £30k we eventually bought him for, what a bargain for a true Reading legend
I think that it was Aldershot that couldn't afford him - we bought him from Portsmouth

I seem to remember one of his two goals against the mighty Aldershot at home in some meaningless cup game quite special.

I think during the 83/84 season in Division 4 he got something like 22 goals in the first 15 games and was on track to beat Dixie Dean's all time record at one point.
