marekisgod I recall that Church's one goal when we did in fact win was against Doncaster , where the ball practically hit him after someone had shot and it come back off the keeper from 5 yards out !

I appreciate it's a long time ago, and you may not even have been at the game, but please .......

Long ball bouncing in the area, keeper challenged by Alfie (and a Doncaster defender), keeper drops ball and Church fires into the empty net.

Where was the shot that came back off the keeper to hit him ?
Church made sure he was in the right place to take advantage.

He still shouldn't be starting IMHO

Match report on here says it was a rebound from a shot.

marekisgod 2 more last night , im sorry but it really is time he was rested permanently , and yes I know he scored but my mum could have scored it (and she hasnt played in years) !

My kids were at the game and were adamant KEBE scored
and apparently the big screen said that. Is that right?

What happened?

Kebe headed the corner towards the goal and Church was standing on the goal line and got the last touch. I assume for official stats purposes it goes down as a Church goal and Kebe assist.

Church blatantly put it away, probably going in anyway, but any good striker is going to make sure. Sorry, to avoid misunderstandings: any striker is going to make sure.

Might have been harder to see from the North end or West, but it was clear as anything from Y26.

Keeper may or may not have got something on it from what I recall, but Franchise description is pretty accurate though.

It was my one game a season, and I've looked again (thank you Sky+). No shot, terrible defensiuve tangle, keeper at fault, match report on here wrong (or at least misguided)

Thanks

Just watched it. First time I thought he stole the goal
but now not absolutely certain that Kebe would have scored

There's something strange about someone whose username is marekisgod criticising Church for being ineffective.

Church was a bit non-plussed that the score board and announcer gave the goal to Kebe. He was back at the halfway line ready for the restart and started waving is arms in a WTF manner
