I don't think I've seen such biased commentary or "punditry" than the FL show tonight. Commentator was practically jizzing off at Wham and apparently we didn't have an attack in the first half (must have used the ITV cup editing team). Then Claridge pops up with his usual half witted shite claiming that Kebe was disrespectful and throws in a racist back hander too.

Fair play to Robbie Savage (fast becoming a legend if only for speaking some common sense) who has just posted on twitter that it wasn't showboating and that Collison fully deserved his red. 9/10 of the twitter comments are backing Jimmy too - assuming that the Neanderthal 10pc are Hammers fans with fcuk all sence of humour.

The hot air rumbles on even if the balloon has deflated. A micro implosion of this size will not make much difference to West Ham. Just glad that the match was sold out for their support to witness their own collective smiles wiped from their faces.

Kebe wasn't show boating in the true sense of step overs and adoration that the likes of Ronaldo crave. It was pure comedy that is all. It raised a laugh in the stands and the game had been done and dusted at that point.

I have complained to the BBC over Claridge's racist comments. Would love to meet him in person, just to tell him what a pcunt he is.

I just don't get it with West Ham and their seeming love in with the media. Both sendings off were completely deserved and while you can say Jimmy may have been a bit of a plank to pull his socks up you have to ask why the West Ham team were giving him so much time and space to be able to do it

Add to that their utterly crap support, 4500 fans suddenly whittle down to about 2000 straight after we go 2-0 up, also masses of West Ham plastics watching their annual WHU game exited the home stands as well. As I recall the same thing happened in the 6-0 when loads of their fans buggered off at half time.

I won't mention their financial position or Tevezgate

I really really hope they fail to go up.

It's because most of the Media reporters are West Ham supporters.

Pull your socks up

by marcusopp » 11 Dec 2011 09:34

I was listening to the game on 5 live extra, and even Murty was saying that Kebe was 'asking for it' by touching his socks.
I just watched the highlights on the champioship and the really annoying steve claridge was also saying that Kebe deserved to be clattered.
He was just wasting a few seconds. It's not his fault that fat sam has a team of bad tempered arseholes! If their shit defenders had gone to him, Kebe wouldn't have had time to touch his socks, and would have skinned him (as he did all game according to the radio).

I'm sorry but I just don't see it as disrespectful? It's the same as showboating with a flick or something. Say he started doing kick ups in the corner? Would it have been the same out come?

agreed, he didn`t have a west ham player with 10 yards of him, won`t be easy for him in the return..if hes still with us

What it has done is raise the temperature on the return game unnecessarily, the media will see to that, ,,,,,,, though it was great value at the time.

It seems that lots of people here can't tell the difference between "explain" and "excuse".

The vast majority of the pundits are explaining why Collinson had the red mist - which is that Kebe did something that professionals just don't do, taking the piss in a match situation. In every profession there's an unspoken code that no-one oversteps - but Kebe didn't just overstep it, he drove a coach and horses through it. (And LOL at those calling Claridge racist - he's quite right that this is is cultural thing in England, something a foreign player is less likely to understand).

So why are people getting themselves so wound up when pundits say that they understand why Collinson did it? That's quite different from saying that he was justified or shouldn't have been sent off.
