Tony Le Mesmer Im actually amazed that there are that many teams with a worse play off record. Still, you have to be good enough to get in them in the 1st place to be crap at them.

Has any club never made the play offs? Obviously those new to the league, but any long standing league clubs?

Of the current 92 I believe these are the clubs that have never troubles the play off experience; Arsenal, Liverpool, ManU, Spurs, Everton, Aston Villa, Coventry City, Chesterfield, Exeter City, Wimbledon (new or old), Barnet, Burton, Crawley, Hereford and Oxford

And finally, just for completists, the table below shows those teams that have only reached 1 or 2 playoffs, I deliberately left them off the top table as it's difficult to rate their affinity for success in them given so few appearances.

Cheltenham 0 0 2 2
Barnsley 0 1 1 2
Brighton & Hove Albion 0 1 1 2
Chesterfield 0 1 1 2
Grimsby Town 0 1 1 2
Port Vale 0 1 1 2
West Ham 0 1 1 2
Aldershot 1 0 1 2
Bournemouth 1 0 1 2
Bradford City 1 0 1 2
Cambridge Utd 1 0 1 2
Hull 1 0 1 2
Middlesbrough 1 0 1 2
Plymouth A 1 0 1 2
Southend United 1 0 1 2
York City 1 0 1 2
Mansfield 1 1 0 2
Carlisle 2 0 0 2
Fulham 2 0 0 2
Scarborough 2 0 0 2
Dagenham & Redbridge 0 0 1 1
Doncaster Rovers 0 0 1 1
Manchester City 0 0 1 1
Sheffield Wednesday 0 0 1 1
Stevenage 0 0 1 1
Chelsea 0 1 0 1
Norwich City 0 1 0 1
Queens Park Rangers 0 1 0 1
Rushden 0 1 0 1
Wrexham 0 1 0 1
Yeovil Town 0 1 0 1
Accrington Stanley 1 0 0 1
Chester C 1 0 0 1
Hereford 1 0 0 1
Luton Town 1 0 0 1
Macclesfield Town 1 0 0 1
Maidstone Utd 1 0 0 1
Morecambe 1 0 0 1
Newcastle United 1 0 0 1
Portsmouth 1 0 0 1
Southampton 1 0 0 1

I would include the conference playoffs and say that Oxford have therefore competed.

Coventry - they haven't been in a promotion race since 1967

LOL. there cant be a worse team to support.

Just had a look at their history. They've finished in the top half once in the last 23 years  And their highest league placing since 1969/70 is 7th.

Let's not forget Barnet, Burton Albion, AFC Wimbledon, Exeter City and Hereford Utd if you're going down that route.
