What is his valuation? He did well at fulham. I would have thought bigger clubs might be interested.

He went to Fulham on a short-term deal in January, and now they've released him, so he be free.

SpaghettiHoop The Sun

STRIKER Pavel Pogrebnyak will decide his Fulham future next week.
comment on this story
The Russian, 28, joined on loan from Stuttgart in January and scored six goals.
Sources close to Pog expect the situation to be sorted out before Friday’s Euro 2012 kick-off.

Presently in contract negotiation with Fulham and talks are not going well. Have been approached by Reading as well, but keep it as back up option. By the way his Russian nickname is not the Pog, but Pogreb that in translation means Cellar

Seen Fulham fans claiming Fulham have offered Pavel Pogrebnyak £25k a week, and then they noted that we matched Swansea's £35k a week offer for Sigurdsson, and they think if we are in talks then we are very much the favourites.

He's on his way home early after going out of the Euro's tonight.

Sunday People today has an 'exclusive' claiming this deal is all but complete and it marks Anton's seriousness in getting in top players.

The piece sounds authoritative, so hopefully a good sign. Russian connection helping perhaps?

When he moved to Fulham on TDD, I read an article that suggested he was mates with the Zingarevichs so maybe this has legs. I just don't understand why Fulham haven't offered him an extended deal.

Would be a pretty good signing on a free, not a natural goalscorer but would give us a good physical presence up front.

His career scoring record is a bit better than one in three which sounds pretty good to me considering he's played at the top level for most of it.

Averaged about 6 league goals a season since 2007 and rarely looked like scoring after his first few games at Fulham.
