Notable inclusion of Morrison too; I guess the Rhodes deal must be off then... :?

Reading FC Brian McDermott has named a 28-man squad to travel to Portugal today.

Pavel Pogrebnyak is part of the group travelling to the Algarve, while young winger Jordan Obita and fledgling goalkeeper Jonathan Henly are also included.

All of our new signings are also involved, giving them a good chance to bed in with their new teammates.

Goalkeepers: Adam Federici, Alex McCarthy, Mikkel Andersen, Jonathan Henly.
Defenders: Shaun Cummings, Chris Gunter, Ian Harte, Nicky Shorey, Kaspars Gorkss, Alex Pearce, Adrian Mariappa, Sean Morrison.
Midfielders: Jem Karacan, Mikele Leigertwood, Brynjar Gunnarsson, Danny Guthrie, Jay Tabb, Jobi McAnuff, Jimmy Kebe, Garath McCleary, Hal Robson-Kanu, Michail Antonio, Jordan Obita.
Forwards: Noel Hunt, Jason Roberts, Adam Le Fondre, Simon Church, Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Staff: Brian McDermott, Nigel Gibbs, Luke Anthony, Sal Bibbo, Karl Halabi, Selby Armstrong, Matt Hirons, Dan Buchanan, Tristan Baker, Craig Mortimer-Zhika, Mervyn Leslie.

We have three games whilst overseas:

Sat 21st July: CDR Quarteirense, 8pm, Municipal Stadium, Quarteira.

Tue 24th July: Sheffield Wednesday, 8pm, Estadio de Municipal, Albufeira.

Fri 27th July: Olhanense, 8pm, Jose Arjanco Stadium, Olhao.

Squad as expected really apart from the exclusion of Stuart Taylor and inclusion of academy 'keeper Jonathan Henly. I'm sure the squad will benefit from this trip abroad and will come back a stronger unit with the new signings settled in nicely.

I meant Stuart, rather than Jake. Unless he is going to play a few games with the development squad?
