And what exactly will we be playing for in the championship?

Promotion? Just so we can get humiliated by our tightfistedness again? No thanks.

There aren't that many of them. They gave up a long time ago. It's hardliners now and they're not as stupid as someone who stubbornly refuses to learn and adapt. 4-4-2 f8cking disastrous joke!

Less mongs that don’t understand how difficult the premier league is for promoted, small teams like Reading who over achieved last season to get here.

Ripping my shirt off with a guttural howl of frustration as Luton Town do us in the FAC.

Sadly it appears the mongs who don't realise it is possible to survive in the PL with sensible investment and sensible tactics will still be with us!

I'm looking forward to......not much.
South coast games possibly against Brighton,Saints and Bournemouth.
Playing Sheffield United again.
Playing Doncaster again.
The joys of Hull City and Middlesborough.
Correction-I'm not looking forward to any of it having watched Wolves v Birmingham on TV last night which reminded me that a lot of the teams play like us.

Agreed, lets just lay down and accept we have no place in the PL. small mind and team mentality.

So seriously what's the point of RFC existence? To offer gainful employment to locals and 'the Reading Staff'? To create a business turnover so someone gets a bit of dividend or to smooth their ego? If we compete and go up - we'll be in the same position as now, struggling like f*ck and looking down the barrel. Down we go and the whole thing starts again. So what are we cheering for (paying for) ? To go up, knowing we are going to come down? or simply to be entertained like going to the cinema, but sometimes the film is crap  Anyway Urzzzzzzzzzzzz.

When we've been averaging 18k+ crowds for some years, how do you work that one out?

SPARTA Selling Federici.

If he really is on a joke 35k a week, and I really don't think he can be on more than 25k, he should be the first out the door!!

I think Feds is on 35 croissants a week. Looking forward to seeing McCarthy on a regular basis in the Champo. The lad is going to be a top keeper. Also looking forward to seeing Dominic Samuel starting.

Oh don't be ridiculous, are you of the same breed of fans last season who were pushing for Obita to start? Dominic Samuel won't be close unless there is a mass exodus at the end of the season. I highly doubt there will be, because none of the players are good enough to grace the Premiership with a couple of exceptions.

I highly doubt Federici is on 35k a week, given the financial policy of the club. if you have information to prove otherwise though, please share.

Being able to read the football sections of the Sunday Newspapers again without seeing...."Reading never looked completely comfortable, even at 2-0"......."Gunter - 4"........"McAnuff was absent for large periods of the game"............."the small budget was always going to prove to be a challenge for the likeable McDermott in this, only their third ever season in the top flight"........."Federici - 5, a few scares for the Reading goalkeeper"................."however, they still provided a threat from set pieces with Nicky Shoreys' superb deliveries"........"Leigertwood -5, Industrious in midfield but lacked refinement in his passing game".

No more Federici
No more Noel Hunt
No more Pogrebnyak

No more away fans in the home ends.

A local derby.

Pogrebnyak has a relegation release clause and will defo go. Hunt's contract runs out in June. Roberts will be 35/36..

I think we'll defo see Samuel next season!
